Wales wing Ryan Giggs has conceded top spot in Group Six to England after his side's 2-0 loss at Old Trafford.
"I think we're going for second place, and we must try to win every game, it's as simple as that," said Giggs.

"We didn't let ourselves down but we aspire to the sort of stuff they play, our attacking was disappointing.

"We just didn't create enough chances or cause them as much problems as we'd hoped. We did not give John Hartson the ammunition he thrives on."

Meanwhile, Wales left-back Ben Thatcher has played down the significance of his clash with David Beckham.

Thatcher went in for a heavy challenge with the England skipper late in the game, before Beckham appeared to go looking for retribution with a reckless tackle.

Real Madrid star Beckham came out of it the worst, suffering a fractured rib that will keep him out for six weeks.

"I don't think he [Beckham] was out to get me, he's not that sort of person," said Thatcher, a former England Under-21 captain and product of Wimbledon's 'Crazy Gang.'

"We were both going for a pass, both 50-50, it was as simple as that.

"It was just one of those things. I went up to him and shook his hand as he went off when he was substituted.

"I just said to him that I didn't think the first challenge was a foul and he accepted that.

"He just shrugged his shoulders as he went off and shook my hand, it is just one of those things that happens."
