I like the Fire, because I am from Chicago. I also root for KC because they have Preki. Honestly though I think the MLS sucks. I loved the old NASL and the Sting were the ***king best.
my first impression when watchin' the MLS was.. man this is just like Baseball, Basketball.. err I mean the ruls, overtime after a draw, and shite like that.
COME ON ... make this league like the rest of the world and who knows, might get more attention..MLS is just too confusing...took me around 3 years to get it.

I proudly support MLS and the lower divisions of football in the US. I, too, grew up with the old NASL and the Rowdies (but also liked the Sting), but I will follow, support and work for whatever local team there is in my area.
Zola, I don't know what you are talking about with it taking you 3 years to get used to MLS. If you think our rules are screwy, you should have seen some of the things that were done with the NASL....like the 35 yard line as the offsides line......6 points for a win....the shootout (which carried over into MLS unfortunately), and other such things. Personally I found the MLS rules to be pretty mundane and in line with the rest of the world except for the ties. Now, if you are talking about the playoffs and stuff, that entirely different...and doesn't have any impact on the actual game and the way it is played.
Just my two cents.....
And, for what it's worth, I proudly and vehemently support the Tampa Bay Mutiny.

DC United fan here! Glad to see another fan on the site! As I have said before, look at that first (awful) year, and where the league is now. If the growth continues at this rate, look out in ten years!!!
The two true United's: DC & ManU!!!
