Arena annouces 18 players to begin WC qualifying

Arena announced 18 players to take place in the 1st 2 games for WC qualy. against guetemala and costa rica most of the players are regualrs on the national team the most noted player missing in joe max-moore who is injuried with a knee problem. also for the 1st time since arena has been in charge he has called up tab ramos who has not put on the red white in blue since the diasterous 98 world cup United States Men's National Team

No real surprises in the choices. The only one I really question is Regis. I have yet to see him do anything productive for the USA.

update on the roster mifielder ben olsen and defender jeff aggos have been replaces due to injuries they will be replaced by clint mathis and greg vanney as for regis i think he is good enough to be on the national team and he will get his chance to prove it now with agoos out

Regis: Perhaps. I have never seen his club play, but the Nat'l Team play I've seen from him has been less than appealing.

i dont know i agree during the world cup he did not do much but he has progressed a lot and he is able to come up and play offensively and has a nice left foot as weel as good ball skills for a defender but weather he could anchor the defense i dont think he is capable of that

From what I've seen, his passing is questionable too.

about his passing in my opinion passing is not about have talent so much but its about just having confidence in yourself ts something he can fix easilt i think and i think that he does deserve a spot on the national team

I agree with the passing being a confidence issue. But, I don't think Regis deserves a spot. I don't think he has earned it yet. But like I said, I have never seen his club play, and Arena has, so maybe I don't know what I am talking about in regards to his game.
