I think that it's great that the MLS is growing. The thing that holds it back, however, is lack of support. Therefore, I think that the MLS should stop being criticized. I'm not telling everybody to love it, but just don't criticize it.

I will also have to work on this because I seem to criticize the MLS, but. . let's all work on it.

I think that the key for the MLS to succeed is to expand. It's hard for most people in the US to catch a game at a stadium, with so few teams. It's nearly impossible to see a game on TV, you can catch one if you have ESPN2, if you're lucky. I heard that Milwaukee might be getting a team within the next few years, if they do, I'll get season tickets. But until then, I've got to enjoy watching the Wave on NSPL or the Rampage on the A League. Good luck MLS!!!

Both of you are absolutely right. The MLS just needs more support from the fans, and needs to expand. And one of the main reasons the MLS is criticized aroung the world is that there's no European players in it. It's not criticized that much in the US, mainly because most of the people here aren't very familiar with European soccer and soccer in other parts of the world.

I see that MLS this way...only foreigners like it (oh well, lets say watch it)! let's face it, how many of us have met an american who likes football (whoops soccer), I know one person only and that it is. It won't grow much here in US between americans. Although..as you all said, yes Euro players are needed...MLS got one player (HRISTO) who went to fire and it drew my attention to it. so there ya go...point proven right :)

I watch, turn on the TV or record all the MLS games, just to help ratings, even if I don't care about the teams/game.

Well that's a great attitude! Keep it up Mirkwood and others follow his example. :)

I try to be fair and everything, but I do have to admit that I can't stand watching an MLS game for more than about 20 minutes! It just gets too boring for me. It's like nothing's happening in the game (although there is a lot of action sometimes). I think that's how a lot of people feel about the MLS.

I just watch the highlights :)

sometimes I watch full games but that is only if I am at soldier field (Fire stadium) in person.

as a 1st generation european american, all i can say about MLS is that it acts as a substitute for euro leagues. the only reason i watch it ever, is to get my "sunday" fix. i don't have satellite TV to watch my greek league games ( sometimes i catch RAI and see some serie A).
its just not the same. and its not just the quality, uts the atmosphere. going to an AEK Athens or Olympiakos or Juventus or Barcelona game is worlds apart from watching the Mutiny... it seems... artificial.
