Bologna 3-1 Roma
Sack Rudi! He is not up to the task,he fails to motivate the player and I believe the decision to hire him is a haste one without careful thinking.Just because he is a former roma player will make him suitable for Roma manager? Roma will finish if continue to use him.Get Del Neri.

MILAN, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Former Germany coach Rudi Voeller has quit AS Roma less than a month after taking charge of the Serie A club.
Voeller told Italian media on Sunday his resignation, offered after Saturday's 3-1 defeat by nine-man Bologna, had been accepted by club president Franco Sensi.
'I want to thank the president and the Sensi family who have accepted my decision to resign,' said Voeller.
Voeller, who quit as Germany coach after Euro 2004, said he felt unable to get the best out of the team.
'I am used to handling a team in a certain manner. I tried to do it my way but, after last night (Saturday), I understood that it was not the right one,' he said.
In a statement, the club announced that Voeller's assistant, Ezio Sella, would take immediate charge of the team. It also banned players and officials from speaking to the media.
Voeller took over at Roma on August 31 after Cesare Prandelli stood down for family reasons.
Roma had turned to former Parma coach Prandelli after Fabio Capello walked out to take over at bitter rivals Juventus.
Voeller had been in charge for just four Serie A games.
After an opening-day win over Fiorentina, Roma fell to a shock 4-3 defeat to promoted Messina and were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Lecce before Saturday's embarrassment.
Bologna outclassed Roma to take a 3-0 lead but were forced to play the final 40 minutes of the game with just nine men after the dismissal of Giacomo Cipriani and Greek midfielder Theodoros Zagorakis.
A Francesco Totti goal was all that Roma could manage despite their numerical advantage.
Voeller's departure capped a miserable week for the Italian club, which on Tuesday was ordered by UEFA to play their next two Champions League home fixtures behind closed doors after Swedish referee Anders Frisk was injured by an object thrown from the stands of the Olympic Stadium during their game against Dynamo Kiev.

MILAN, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Former Chievo Verona coach Luigi Del Neri says he has been approached by AS Roma and is ready to take over from Rudi Voeller at the troubled Serie A club.
Voeller resigned after less than a month in charge following Roma's embarrassing 3-1 defeat by nine-man Bologna on Saturday and Del Neri has been widely tipped to take over from the former Germany coach.
'I have had contact with the club as I had before they signed Voeller,' Del Neri told Radio Anch'io on Monday. 'I am available and ready to offer my enthusiasm and desire to work.'
Caretaker coach Ezio Sella is currently in charge of Roma, who face Real Madrid in Spain in their Champions League Group B match on Tuesday.
The club turned to Voeller after former Parma coach Cesare Prandelli stood down in August due to family reasons.
Despite just one win from their opening four Serie A games, which have included defeats by Messina and Bologna, Del Neri said the situation at Roma was not as bad as it might appear.
'I don't think it is a crisis. The team has had a few problems that are linked to several factors. There are many players who have been away with their national teams and there was the shock of Prandelli leaving.
'But you can't argue about the quality of a squad that has established stars and promising young players. There is everything in place to do well'.
Del Neri left Chievo at the end of last season and moved to European champions Porto but his spell in Portugal came to an end before the season had even begun.
He was sacked in August for what Porto called 'personal reasons' with local media saying the club were unhappy at the amount of time the coach was continuing to spend in Italy.
Del Neri took Chievo from Serie B into the top flight for the first time in their history and established them in the top half of Serie A, winning plaudits for the way he got the most out of players with modest backgrounds.
Should he take over in the capital, Del Neri will become Roma's fourth coach in as many months.
The debt-ridden club was thrown into confusion at the end of May when Fabio Capello walked out to take over at bitter rivals Juventus, paving the way for Prandelli.
As well as their domestic difficulties Roma have problems in the Champions League after their opening game against Dynamo Kiev was abandoned when the referee was hit by an object thrown from the crowd.
UEFA awarded Dynamo a 3-0 win and ordered Roma to play their next two European home games - against Real and Voeller's old club Bayer Leverkusen - behind closed doors.

Our defence (meaning Ferarri and Mexes) have not settled yet. Hopefully Del Neri can change that.

A psychic connection with a romanista?
they seem to be intertwined the clubs though... one wins the scuddetto, the other then does, one qualifies for the champs league, the other does, one goes bankrupt, the other does.... and one is dismantled, so is the other... everything in the same order... strange :alien:

From the CL performance of Roma,I believe Del Neri is going to sacriface CL for Serie A victories,he is trying to rebuild the club and mount a better challenge next yr!
