The Greek Champions started this year´s campaign in style. Panathinaikos performed some excellent football beating Ionikos 3-0 in the first league game of the season.
Equi Gonzalez continued his scoring run and opened the score at the 34th minute with a right foot volley after a Rudolf Skacel cross. The Chech international was also the provider of the second goal at the 42nd minute and Dimitris papadopoulos was the scorer. Papadopoulos scored again after 5 minutes in the second half but lost the chance of competing his hat trick by missing a penalti 10 minutes before time.
