Bournemouth have signed former England youth international midfielder John Spicer on a month's loan from Arsenal.
Spicer, who will be 21 on Monday, goes straight into the squad for Saturday's home game with Colchester.
Last season, he made more appearances for the Gunners' second string than any other player - scoring three goals in 25 appearances.
He has had just one first-team outing - as a late substitute against Rotherham in the Carling Cup last October.
Coming on for the last three minutes of extra time, wearing squad number 52, Spicer successfully scored from the spot as Arsenal won a marathon penalty shoot-out 9-8.
The signing is a big boost for Cherries boss Sean O'Driscoll, whose squad has been stretched to the limit in recent weeks by injuries and suspensions.
