He pronounces Greek words with a bit English-like accent. Greek language is completely phonetic you always pronounce the same if you read the same letter. Ukrainian must be the same. In English it is not for example when you see the letter e sometimes you pronounce it like the clear latin 'e' but sometimes like the latin 'a'. Or when you see a sometimes you pronounce ''ei''.

Yes, these three letters are pronounced the same. Also ει and οι sound like i. But every word is writed with one of the different i. For example the world πυÏ?ηνικός (means nuclear) sounds like pirinikos. I know it is a bit confusing :D.

Before 1000 BC, in Greece they were used a few diferent alphabets, syllabic and symbolic. However many roots of the words were the same.

We started using the alphabet we use now, at about 800 B.C. It is exactly the same from then. The diferences at language are at grammar or at many word meanings. This was the alphabet we used on the golden times (of the philosofers etc.). To make you understand I believe the diference is like the diference of Ukrainian with Russian or Latin with Italian.

I can read a text of Platonas or Aristotelis in the original language the letters are exactly the same, and, from the ancient Greek I have learnt at school I can nearly understand the meaning :D.

Todays Italian language didn't exist at the age of the Roman empire. They were speaking Latin. Only Vatican has Latin as official language today.

no no, you got it all wrong... im not a dcotor. We take contracts from hospitals for a periodic maintenance of their equipment. Manily ECG and MCG equipment. We run the mechanical and electronic tests to check if instruments are fine. I have nothing to do with doctors ;)
