Rustu Recber has brought an end to his Barcelona nightmare by returning to former club Fenerbahce on loan.

The Turkish international custodian has endured a miserable time at Camp Nou since arriving on a free transfer last summer.

The 31-year-old was expected to be undisputed number one for Barca, but spent almost the entire season on the bench as youngster Victor Valdes established himself as boss Frank Rijkaard's first-choice.

Rustu has grown increasingly frustrated at his situation, fearing his lack of first-team action will harm his international chances.

As a result, he has now agreed a one-year loan switch to Fenerbahce, but will return to the Catalan giants in a year's time.

Rustu is the best goalkeeper in the spain.
When he comes to Fenerbahce back , In the CL you will see who he is.
I never understand why he went to Barcelona. Barca is a powerful and famous club. But Fenerbahce is a kingdom.

Rustu was never given a chance to play, instead Rijkaard
started Victor Valdez as goalkeeper. He did this so
he could have more non-eu players in midfield.
Every now and then, every 5 or 6 games,
he put Rustu at the goal. How do you
expect a goalkeeper to perform if he does not get to start
consistently? Besides Rustu does not need to prove himself
at Barcelona or any other team, his career speaks for itself.
