I heard that he became a professional only in his late 20's. Before that he made a living hustling and gambling and played in an amateur league part time. Still I think he is a very talented player.

Yeah Dado quit soccer for quite a while and became a mechanic. He only started playing again because of his wife. He was playing in the French 3rd division and in a league match was spotted by Monaco, who were amazed to see a player of such quality rotting away there.
