I loved the game - watched it with hubby and we BOTH wanted the U.S. to lose (I know, baaaaaddddddd of us) - but hey, PR played better - GREAT TEAM work - and they didn't come into the game with the "PreMaddona/DIVA" attitude !

Greece sucks. The only reason the US is gettin whooped is because none of the good players would go because they r a bunch of wimps n were scared of terrorism at the games. So now we got a bunch of average players and rookies representing the united states. But really i wouldnt care if the us gets stomped on because hopefully it will inspire some of the good players to play so we dont get embarassed like that. BTW if we actuallly did have good players they would dominate.

Barely and sweating it out till the last minute - wait till they have to face some of the bigger teams - if they carry on playing their GHETTO basketball, they won't go far ... and MAYBE the next time - the REF might be a little less biased, more SKILLED in watching out for all that extra footwork those NBA players are getting away with ;) They've ghetto-rigged basketball to suit their street-playing tactics ... and it won't be long when someone will appear and start pinning fouls on them. So they'd better watch out :D

Well, so far - they lost one and won one ... there's still a chance for them - but it'll be difficult if they continue to play the way they have - that is NOT the world's "dreaded dream team" for sure !

I don't mind if all other athletes get medals - I just don't want the U.S. BASKETBALL team to get one ... they've got the "diva" attitude - they think they're the world's unbeatable athletes - they believe they're God's gift to Basketball ... and they think that all the entire world should CHANGE the Basketball rules and regulations into what THEY have done to the game over here !!!

Yeah, I'd love to see USA go down in basketball, I think France almost did it 4 yr ago. But in the end, I think theyr'e gonna win it, they got the best players in the world, and they have a wealth of experience, and the NBA is the strongest basketball league in the world, so I personally find it hard to see any other team than the US win it. Italy look pretty good so far, they might come close.

The US men's basketball team have been ousted in the Olympic semi-finals by Argentina, beaten 89-81.
The Americans had been gold medallists in every Olympics since 1992 when NBA players started competing in the Games.

Serbia is the best basketball team there is, they won the world championship 5 times including 2 in a row (1998 2002). the only reason they were doing poorly in the olympics in bball is because they were missing 4 main nba players. they were missing Jaric,Stojakovic,Divac,Milic. because these players couldent come to the games the olympic team had to send out rookies and young players with no experiance with international basketball. but i can tell u that in the next olympics Serbia will dominate.

yeh they do have a great team. losing against the USA but 6 points that is good, almost beating argentina but it was unlucky for us losing by 3 points they do have a good team just the luck wasn't with us. greece played good :)
