you have sol out we have keane out, but couls is out for a lot longer :dead:
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says defender Sol Campbell will miss the first six weeks of the new Premiership season due to an Achilles injury.
The Sunday Express quoted the Gunners boss as saying: "It will be at least six weeks.
"This is a big blow for us, although there is more reassuring news about Thierry Henry, who could be ready for the first Premiership match."
Striker Henry has also been suffering from an Achilles problem.
Campbell is also likely to miss England's first two World Cup qualifiers away to Austria on 4 September and Poland on 8 September.
The 29-year-old was sent home early from Arsenal's pre-season tournament in Amsterdam.
Wenger claimed he was injured while playing at Euro 2004, where England were knocked out by Portugal in the quarter-finals.
"Apparently [England] protected him and he did not do a lot of training sessions in Portugal," he said.
"Certainly they thought it was a minor problem but when Sol returned and had an MRI scan the problem came to light.
"If it had been treated earlier he would have had a better chance of starting the season but he played with it and maybe it got worse from game to game."
Arsenal play Manchester United in the Community Shield next weekend, the curtain-raiser for the new season.
They opening their league campaign against Everton on 15 August.

No worries, we're strong enough to survive without him for a little while. Having said that though, it's a shame as he is such a strong presence and influence to the team.

It's a shame for Arsenal, he's such a great defender.....
But I think they can survive too, he's not Vieira, hehe.

No. If you think the North London derby is going to be allowed to be made any easier for you, then you're very much mistaken... :)
BTW, my 700th post...

also if Vieira leaves they can bring Mancihe to the spuad and Henry would most likely become the captain

I can well imagine Sol Campbell being a good captain if Vieira were to leave, Campbell would be my choice.

We might be starting to talk reality there if you sign Buffon, Ferdinand, Ronaldinho, Zidane, Henry, Van Nistelrooy and Vieira, whilst Arsenal sustain an unfortunate combination of injuries leaving only 5 reserves left to play. :D

Well I suppose 4th place is actually respectable for a team like Spurs :ronaldo:. But your goal difference is 2, whereas Arsenal are top with a goal difference of 11. Just who is doing very well this season? :p

But last season for us was also very, very good - and that's where the difference lies, and it's what makes our season so far still better than yours. ;) :p LOL

However sometimes we are able to even out the bad luck with some great play - such as qualifying for the next round the year before last with help from that great 5-1 away win at Inter Milan and late comebacks at home, like the one against one of the Moscow teams.
