Madrid is not the same since Mijatovic, Suker, Seedorf left. I dont find their style of play attractive anymore, their games are full of boredom if you ask me. Roberto Carlos is the only man in the team that i actually enjoy to watch.
True although they are making a run for the championship, every week they are closer and closer.

Many good players play for Real at the moment and I enjoy watching them all:
Raul, Morientes, Anelka, Carlos, Savio, Baljic, Redondo, Geremi, Guti....

Yes, those three along with Panucci were know as the "ferrari brigade" I guess because they all have ferrari's.
Suker and Mijatovic sure made a great duo, I don't think Real will see a combo like that for a long time. Raul-Morientes is not nearly as good.

I more enjoy in watching Raul-Mori
than Suker-Mija
But if we are playing with 3 striker who will play in attack with Mori and Raul: Anelka,Savio or Baljic???

How can you enjoy watch Raul-Morientes more? I really don't understand this. Suker and Mijatovic are much more techncially gifted and have more finesse and simply play a more attractive style of football. These guys made goals that were difficult, look ridiculously easy. I don't see Raul or Morientes doing this. I see them score, but not as much and are not nearly the threat Suker-Mijatovic were.
Oh well, to each his own I guess.
On the topic of a third striker I'd probably take Baljic. Savio is more of a left midfielder than an out and out striker. Anelka is a bust and is bad for the atmosphere at the club. That pretty much rules him out. Therefore, by process of elimination, Baljic would have to be the guy.

I think that Baljic could that that place
But he still isnt in good form after an injury.
after all I am happy that he didnt get injured again like Ronaldo..in his first match.
I think that Baljic will start to score!!!

I totally agree with you there gambine, Mijatovic and Suker are a superb duo. They are both techniqually gifted players, and i dont think Real will have such a duo in a long time...Raul may be a good striker, but he is not what Suker and Mijat are.

Oh Mihajlovic, weren't they just great to watch?!? They were the perfect duo.
They're older now and obviously not as good, but when they were in their prime they were something else.
On the one hand, you have Suker. A natural born goal scorer with such an eye for the net, and lethal finish. Scores the big goals a lot of the time, and has such a cultured left foot, it's just amazing what he can do with it.
On the other hand you have Mijatovic. The perfect compliment for Suker. Mijat is not as much of an out and out scorer as Suker, but he has another dimension to his game that Suker doesn't, he is a GREAT set up man. He's also a great scorer with a cultured right foot. That's why I think they complimented each other so well.
Add that to the fact that they come from the same school of thought. Yugo as it was doesn't exist, but these players were both brought up in the same way, and both played for Yugo at the youth championship in 87.
I remember one goal in particular, I think it was against Sociedad. Mijatovic was about 15 yards away from the box, sent in a high pass to Suker, it was high because it had to be, there was two defenders to stop any low pass. The pass went in between the heads of the defender and Suker, and was hit with just the perfect pace that it bounced in front of Suker in the perfect position for a volley.
His finish was as great as the pass, as he blasted it into the top right hand corner. The shot was so hard and just impossible to stop, and then the fans came rushing down to the fence and went nuts.
I don't know if you remember, but it was a beautiful goal :)

Ah, yeah Mijatovic and Suker. Suker needs to go to West Ham so I can see more of his magic. :) Madrid may not be the same as before, but they've fought hard (at the beginning they were 17th in the league!).

gambine, If I would see that goal I would know which one you're talking about , I practiaclly know every single goal that Mijat or Suker scored for Madrid, I just am not sure which one describing, but anyway, it was really sad to see Mijat and Suker leave, wasnt it ?

and yes gambine, also...
Suker is a scoring machine, he is perfect around the box ...
Mijatovic is more of a leader of the game, he controls attack and mid-field and gives perfect passes, and when needed he scores.
That's why they combined so great, and for me they were undoubtedly the best duo in the world.

I'd definately agree with you on the best duo part. But what do we know, Raul-Morientes is a Spaniards wet dream come true.

Yeah it was really sad to see em go. It's also a shame that Suker doesn't play for Arsenal. :( :( Somebody said he needs to go to West Ham. . yeah he does.

Yeah, Real is playing bad :) They managed to get the CL trophy, and they playing bad ? They just have shity start, but comeback was been good (not the great, cose they even didnt get the place for CL in primera). Suker and Mijatovic are nothing compare to RAUL, hes just No1 !! True, he is not very good with Morientes, but when he find his true "twin" he will be goalie machine ! Im not saying Suker and Mijatovic are shit, Suker was been really something, but time goes on... Now he is on the bench of the Arse, and Mijatovic plays for Fiorentina but how ?

You are right asroma at some points. Raul is not a class player like Mijat and Suker are. Those two can tear defences apart with their skills, Raul can score.

No way is Raul better than these guys. Being Spanish helps his reputation. Just imagine of Suker of Mijatovic were Spanish, or Italian. They'd be considered legends already. :)

You guys are right, Mijatovic and Suker are better than Raul, Raul's a great shot, but unlike the others can't fly through the opposing team.
