u know i roamed the entire board over the past month and have seen a good amount of hostility towards various things, the question im asking is what do we hate the most? lol

Soccer not getting the respect it deserves in the US....Damnit

I go to a school that when it comes to sports, they live on american football, baseball, and basketball. Come soccer time, we dont get any respect or support from our fellow students OR the school. We didnt get announcements about our games. We didnt get music to play in at all. We didnt get cheerleaders. We had at most 10 people from the school to come watch. They didnt even turn the scoreboard on for us. We played RAW - given 2 goals, a ball, and a field to play on. Of course everyone else was given what they wanted, like the JV baseball team had cheerleaders n shit like that, but nope not us.

Well thats just ONE thing that I hate the most when it comes to soccer.

i have to agree with footy not getting as much respect as deserved in the US college system. When i was in school, the games werent as packed as the slow baseball games and the basketball games got some nice crowds.

Oh yeah, there's a few "white trailer trash" here too (I've learned the "lingo") - but the percentage is quite lower. As for social security - you pay it - thinking "just in case I'm lucky enough to grow old" ... Taxes are another thing altogether. I know that a huge percentage of "our" (as in hubby's and my taxes), will go to support some lazy ass bums who can't take care of themselves (because they're tooooooo darn lazy to work) - pay for a bunch of women who have bred a number of kids who's father they don't know (because they were "drunk" every time they spread their legs) ... now, old people - it sucks to grow old and unless you have a HUGE pention waiting for you - your drugs/medicine will end up costing you more a month than your mortgage/rent. Marriage is a tradition - also, it's considered as a "security blanket" for a couple and a family. It provides a "bond" within that family (especially when children are involved). Most "traditions" have been frowned upon by various groups - one is the "Gay/Lesbian" group. They laughed and scoffed at it. NOW, they want it - why ? because aside from the fact that it deals with finances (tax benefits, health insurance etc.), it's a "stepping stone" for them to break up a long tradition of the "straights/heteros". I don't have anything against the gays - I've had neighbors, friends who were gay and they're quite fun to be around ... so long as they don't FLAUNT it ... but as far as marriage is concerned - I don't agree with that. I'd say, if they want to "bond" their relationship - why not do it through some other means, other than the traditional marriage. Other than that - if a hetero couple don't want to marry (sign papers etc.), that's their perogative to do so and if it suits THEM, then it shouldn't be anyone's business whether they tie the knot or not.

Some muslims will adhere to the laws of a country - but not ALL. If ALL the country's citizens needs ID's, then ALL of the muslim immigrants must be ID'd. This particular woman happens to be an American who turned to the muslim faith - she therefore is all over the news/internet pleading her case that she should be allowed to be photographed ONLY with her burqa (hiding almost her entire face except her eyes). I'm making this point - because they're flaunting the "minority" issue every day. Ah, here's the difference ... being PC when you're dealing in business - using a diplomatic approach when you need to is quite different to being forced to omit words from your vocabulary - just because you're NOT in a minority group. That includes "racial" slurs. It's OK for a black to use the word "nigger" all the time, but you can't use it if you're white. It's just fine for a black to use the words "cracker" and "white ass" to insult a white person - but if you're white, beware - you can't come back with a similar insult. THAT kind of PC is crap.
