Jurgen Klinnsman, former striker of Tottenham and Germany, has been named the new coach of the German national side.
I have a feeling that this job is suited to him and that he'll do well. In any case, good luck!
Jurgen Klinsmann has been appointed Germany's new coach. The 39-year-old has signed a two-year contract and replaces Rudi Voller, who resigned after Germany's poor showing in Euro 2004.
Klinsmann, who won the World Cup as a player with Germany in 1990, will be assisted by veteran coach Holger Osiek and former striker Oliver Bierhoff. He will lead Germany in the 2006 World Cup - in which they have automatically qualified as the host nation.
Klinsmann has been involved in sports marketing in the US and also acted as advisor to American Major League side Los Angeles Galaxy since ending his playing career after the 1998 World Cup.
He said: "My role should be as team boss. This post is an honour for me."
