I was at the game in Seattle on Saturday. Neither team looked particularly sharp, but Celtic looked awful.
Has the loss of Larsson really made that much of a difference? Celtic was extremely sloppy in their own end, passed poorly throughout the game, and looked clueless in the attacking zone--the 2 goals they did score are flattering until you realize that neither team was putting much of an effort into their defense.
Anyway, I hope the Hoops can find a suitable replacement for Larsson. Otherwise, it could be a long season coming.
Incidently, I was also at the Hearts v Millwall match in Burnaby (suburb of Vancouver, BC) last weekend, and it was quite the opposite affair, with both teams playing solidly in their own ends and not putting much effort into the attack. Quite disappointing for a friendly.
