here is for all those ppl who doubt the abilties of this man

In his first match ever in Europe in 2001, a pre-season friendly against Real at the Bernabeu, this boy (19 years old at that stage) showed why Inter had brought him to Italy. After coming on as a sub, Adriano blasted a free kick in to the net and won the game for Inter, thus we knew that this was the start of something special.
Adriano Leite Ribeiro, born on 17 February 1982 in Rio de Janeiro, is considered as one of the best strikers in the world. But how did he come so far after being a poor child living in the streets of Rio? Adriano started his career at Flamengo in Brazil where he showed his Brazilian flair, not a prolific goalscorer yet but more of a skilful youngster. This landed him him a move to Inter Milan.

At Inter Adriano had a dream start by scoring in his first match against Real. But when the season got underway the youngster knew that he wasn’t going to get first team football with the likes of good friend Ronaldo and Christian Vieri at the club. So after scoring 1 goal in 8 matches, Inter decided to loan the youngster out to Fiorentina at the beginning of 2002. And it was there that Adriano started to grow, he played 15 matches for the Viola scoring 6 important goals. In the summer of 2002 he returned to Inter but the Nerazzurri had other plans and decided to give him more experience by loaning him out to Parma this time. And at Parma Adriano started maturing as a footballer, mixing his skills with his power Adriano played 1 and a half seasons at Parma scoring 23 goals and earned himself a return to Inter in January 2004.

Now Adriano had become a striker on whom you could rely on and that is exactly what he showed at Inter by eclipsing the likes of Vieri and Alvaro Recoba to a starting shirt. He paved the way for Inter to end the season in 4th place and so qualifying for the Champions League.

Now Adriano is showing his skills with Brazil at the Copa America as he is by far the best player of the tournament. He is demonstrating that he deserves a starting role alongside Ronaldo for the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches. And if Brazil coach Parreira has the guts to place these two deadly strikers alongside each other, they will indeed take some stopping.

So all in all Adriano has all the potential to become the new Phenomenon as he is without a doubt one of the best strikers in the world. Even better than Ronaldo? Time will tell!

Yea, I pretty much agree with everything in there. He is better than Ronaldo already IMO.

Will be the world's best all-round striker in 3 years if not less, mark my words.

Well he's a great player, with a lot of abilities, good shoting, dribling and strength and I remember that goal against Madrid, but saying that he's better than Ronaldo is something else, Ronnie has a lot more of experience, and he's more effective.

At present, Ronaldo is out of shape so Adriano is definately better now... but if Ronaldo is in shape and is on form, he is deadly.... but either way, Ronaldo used to be much better than he is now.

He's in bad shape but keep scoring 30 goals per season, besides Camacho is making a hell for Ronnie in the pre-season, maybe he realised he was out of shape and now is working hard....

yeah Camacho I noticed has been stricter with the team... he was pissed off with Beckham's cell phone usage and such while training and he wants Ronaldo to shed 10 pounds before the season starts or else theres hell to pay  I think this is what Real Madrid needs... a manager that can set the players straight when they are slacking off... but its also important to motivate and encourage your players as well... or else you'll have an unhappy team :D Personally, I would love to see Camacho whip some discipline into Beckham :)

And he will!! :D

Camacho proved that he's a very strict coach, but -according to the players- he also knows how to talk with them and motivate them. And yes, Madrid needed a coach like him, with strong character, specially after Queiroz, who was very soft and very mediocre.

ADRIANO isnt RONALDO he can become better than RONIE...but you havent seen RONALDO yet...he lost maybe 6-7 kg...i watched him against the WORLD CUP qualifyer against ARGENTINA...and i just stood there with my mouth open.....no one could obstruct or hold him...even fauls were impossible....when a expirienced squad like ARGENTINA makes three penalties...than you can bet that it's not their fault......there's some ignorants that say...he's knee is amputed..he plays with a half of his knee"....he's unstopable...he gained so much fat becouse that IDIOT that coached REAL last year didnt had the authority to make him work harder...and CAMACHO said to him either loss some weights or you're out of here...ADRIANO can equate RONIES talent...and he has one craracteristic that RONIE doesnt...the most powerfull free kick shoot in the world......arguably the best....with his BRASILLIAN technique his free kicks will dominate...RONIE can perform free kicks but not as cool as ADRIANO....+this youn ger is lot more dominant in the penalty area....i expect him to overshadow RONALDO but that hasnt happned yet.......if the play together in 2006 you can bet that ROANDLO will be overshadowed...ADRIANO needs to evolve and develop in a TITAN like INTER...and this season he'll probably be the TOP scorer...he would've been last season but he injured...too bad....

I think it's true Ronaldo can never be the player of old elcino. He's had three operations on that knee of his. It's reality Ronaldo is 80-90% normal. He can still torment the defence of course, but not as unbelievably like at Barcelona. I don't think we'll see those half pitch dribble then goal, moments again. It's sad that injury will prevent Ronaldo from reaching his true potential.

Adriano is fantastic, but the next number 1 will be Robinho, mark my words. He's already is the best but he plays in Brazil and europeans just knows who play in Europe, but it's ok, he will plays in Real Madrid and all the world will love him, btw in Spain will be really easy for Robinho because in Spain anyone can become king, even my mother, easy league !

....i know what a talent is when i see one...RUBINHO...is brilliant...but he will newer evolve in to Extraterrestrial like RONALDO...RONALDINHO and ADRIANO...i've fallowed ADRIANO since the biggining and GAUCHO too...i argued a lot for ADRIANO while allmost everyone doubted his talent...i knew that he's gonna be the best...the older members will confirm this...as for RONALDINHO there was an argument over who is better him or AIMAR when he was in PSG...a lot of people didnt perceived his talent like i did and they were for AIMAR...now it's pointless and even STUPID to compare them...RUBINHO doesnt show that LUCIDE charisma and stile like RONALDO..GAUCHO and aspecially ADRIANO...this last was practicaly a baby when he screwed the hell out of REAL with that NUCLEAR rocket.......and this is just a polemic for the players...cos it's pointless to polemise with someone who underastimate perhaps the best league in the world...ofcourse tied with ITALY...the easiest league in the world?????????
......you're either joking or you want to degrade you're football knowledge......
