The good news is that beckham does not need an operation on his knee, the bad news is that he was fined 4,000 pounds by uefa for dissent twords an official.

That is great about the knee, but Becks needs to grow up. He keeps showing signs that he is going to stop behaving immaturely, and then goes and does something childish...like spitting towards a ref. It is geting old. It is no wonder so many people hate him.

People would hate him anyway, simply because of his talent, and the small matter of him playing for ManU. But yes there is no reason for Becks to give the public another reason to hate him.
On the bright side, he doesnt run 40 yards to foul a player when he's been unfairly challenged.

He is a great player, judging him by his soccer abillity, but we must admit he has some problems with his behaviour. But if I'm honest, I'd smack sometimes some refs too.

You mean you'd want to smack refs sometimes. I mean, that would probably be a life ban or something.
Are you really from Old Trafford or did you just put anything?

That's what I'm trying to tell you: How hard is to act rational when almost everyone shits on your head. I know if i'd smack the ref that would mean life ban most likely but try to imagine - everyone is against you and you musn't say anything to defent yourself. That's why i understand David and i give him full support. He's just trying to make his own stand, no matter if it right or wrong. Personally I think it's great human dignity and that's why i like David so much.

How hard is it to act rational? It does not take a whole lot of self discipline. Becks is (supposedly) a mature adult, he can start acting that way anytime he wants. I think he is a fabulous player, but until he gets it together, he is going to continue to hurt ManU and England.

i agree with mirkwood, beckham does do some foolish things sometimes. and there is no reason to do them. although i give him credit, he has matured a lot. and although he does do some stupid things i don't think he hurts england or united that much.

Beckham is very immature.. And thats why he is going no where, when I hear his name first thing that strikes my mind is cry baby.. Part of being a good respected player is being well behaved. And thats the secret to success of most footballers nowadays .. Remember Pele ?? Zidane ?? Platini ?? And I have to tell you for some unknown reason the EPL has less of those people.. When Cantona was playing for Man United I didnt mind watching them, in fact I enjoyed watching them win, except for that season when Blackburn won the league http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif, but Cantona was immature too, like lots of other EPL players.. Maybe its the style of the league that forces that kind of behaviour http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/confused.gif

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah!
Personnaly, I think that Italian and Spanish players are the worst, i.e diving, getting other players sent off ect. I know every league has this problem, but I (notice, I) think, Spain and Italy are the worst for it.

Its useless trying to start some reasonable conversation in this forum, isnt it ??

I supported my opinion by facts (Not attacking the EPL just for the sake of attacking !) while you answered back without supporting your opinions !! Its your poor mind telling you I am trying to bash the EPL for nothing.. poor thoughts, poor man. http://www.worldsoccerboard.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
