From Goal.com :
Those who don’t understand history are doomed to repeat it. For years Inter have attempted to buy their way out of trouble. After each season of under-achievement, Massimo Moratti and the Nerazzurri would go out and spend millions on some of the world’s most luxurious talent.

But this summer the philosophy appears to be different. New president Giacinto Facchetti has overseen five major signings so far this summer, and only two have cost the club anything in the way of a transfer fee. And they were the astute signings of experienced full-back Giuseppe Favalli and young Argentine defender Nicolas Burdisso. Fellow countrymen Juan Veron and Esteban Cambiasso have arrived on loan and a free transfer respectively, Lampros Choutos came for nothing also, while Edgar Davids is expected to tie up his Bosman move in the very near future.

Lets not forget that Inter already have a squad brimming with talent and there is no need for the club to go out and spend big. But this hasn’t stopped them in the past. Are the Nerazzurri finally realising that continuity is the key? Keep what you have, but add a sprinkling of world class players to flesh out the squad. Afterall, only Veron of the confirmed new recruits can expect to go straight into the starting line-up. It’s clear Cambiasso, Favalli and Choutos have been signed as squad players, while Burdisso can expect to be introduced slowly. For this will be his first season away from the confines of the Argentinian league.

And Roberto Mancini is a cannier breed of coach than perhaps the club have had in the past. He knows the depth of talent he has at his disposal, and will surely not request that millions more be spent on tarting up the squad further.

Dude you posted the same thread twice :silly:

Well to tell you the truth, the financial situation has made a preasurre on Moratti to learn new things. Fachetti ofcourse is responsible for the best and wisest transfer season in a long time.
