FAVALLI: "INTER IN MY DESTINY"

MILAN - "I made my Serie A debut against the Nerazzurri at San Siro," recalled Favalli, who signed a two-year contract with Inter on Tuesday. "It was 1989 and I was playing for Cremonese. Since then there have been a lot of clashes with Inter. I remember those with Ronaldo, and Emre impressed me last season. San Siro is a beautiful stadium and I'm pleased I'll have the chance to play there more often and not just twice a year like before."

San Siro means responsibility, tension and pressure. Favalli: "Inter's left wing? It's a challenge and I'm not afraid of challenges. On the contrary, I'm pleased to be faced with this challenge. I'd like to resolve the problem and I'll certainly give everything to succeed. Believe me, the pressure helps. If you take it in the right way your attention, concentration and desire increases."

Favalli continued: "I'm an orderly player who does what he has to do at the right moment. This has always been my principal characteristic. I know a lot of my Inter teammates and I can't wait to get to know the others. I've always kept good relations with the teammates I've had. I think you just need to be serious."

The 32 year-old concluded: "I'm not used to making promises, but to my new fans I guarantee my happiness at coming to Inter and my best effort in each match."

These are facts and figures for Favalli and Verons full career for the idiots who know nothing about them.

Guiseppe Favalli:

Giuseppe Favalli was the first player to transfer to Inter in the 2004 summer transfer window. He put pen to paper on a two-year contract which expires on 30 June 2006;
Born on 8 January 1972 in Orzinuovi, Brescia province, the former Lazio captain is one of the twenty-three players called up to Giovanni Trapattoni's Italy squad for Euro2004;
The left-back has made 357 appearances (5 goals) in the Serie A, 57 appearances in European cup competitions and 53 appearances (2 goals) in the Italian Cup;
After five seasons at Cremonese from 1987/88 to 1991/92 (current Inter assistant coach Corrado Verdelli was his teammate in 1990/91 and Great Inter legend Tarcisio Burgnich was coach), Favalli joined Lazio. In twelve seasons with the Biancocelesti he won a Scudetto, three Italian Cups, two Italian Super Cups, a Cup Winners' Cup and a European Super Cup. Captain in his last season at Lazio, Favalli set a club record of 298 Serie A appearances;
Favalli describes himself as "an orderly player who does what he has to do at the right moment. This has always been my principal characteristic.";
The versatile left-back can play both in defence and in midfield, and is well-known in the Italian top flight for his physical strength and tactical awareness.

Juan Sebastian Veron:

Juan Sebastian Veron returns to Italy after three seasons in the English Premier League with Manchester United and Chelsea;
Born in La Palta on 9 March 1975, the Argentine midfielder combines physical strength with superb technique and vision;
During five Italian seasons with Sampdoria, Parma and Lazio, Veron totalled 140 Serie A appearances and scored 18 goals. He scored 7 goals in 57 European cup competition matches and 3 goals in 17 Italian Cup games;
There's no lack of silverware in Veron's personal trophy cabinet. With Lazio he won a Scudetto, an Italian Super Cup, a European Super Cup and a Coppa Italia, while with Parma he won a Uefa Cup and a Coppa Italia;
Veron started out at Estudiantes then had a spell with Boca Juniors before making the move to Europe. He has scored 11 goals in 54 appearances for Argentina;
Veron's nickname is 'Brujita', which translates as 'Little Witch'. His father, Juan Ramon, was known as 'Bruja', 'The Witch', allegedly because of his hooked nose, but also because of his 'magic' with goals. Juan Sebastian showed his own touch of magic with goals at the age of seven when he scored 13 in a match for Estudiantes.

Both players are full of experiences which is good. Inter can be more complete with these players playing soon. :smoking:
