What are your greatest memories as an Irish/Scottish fan?
Mine have to be the Holland match at Landsdowne road, sitting behind the goal McAteer scored in.
Or Bonner saving the Romanians penalty in 1990 and Dave O Leary putting his in to get us through to the Quarter Finals

It has to be when Robbie Keane finally beat Oliver Kahn in the 92nd minute of the match against Germany in the 2002 World Cup. ( McAteer's goal against Holland not far behind)

David O'Leary's penalty in Genoa against the Romanians in Italia 1990 or the Republic playing England off the park at Wembley in a drawn 2-2 World Cup qualifier the year before (fair play to England, 90 minutes of sustained Irish pressure and they still managed to score two goals). And for the Scots, Archie Gemill against the Dutch in 1978. I remember watching it as a kid and it still makes the hairs stand up up on the back of my neck!

It was excruciating to watch the robbie keane goal in the wc. Jancker should have scored so many in that game, he missed more chances in that game than others would have in their entire lifetime.

anyways, the irish must have enjoyed that one though... :silly:
