By looking at them you would think okay chubby so they are going to be lazy and short of fitness but look at Ronaldo :ronaldo: he puts up with a lot of stick for carrying a few extra pounds but his goalscoring record for Real Madrid is simply brilliant and he is still fast so really you can't knock him!

Then there's Ailton for Werder Bremen who this season has been excellent and he is even porkier than Ronaldo, I mean when I saw him recently I thought how the hell does he play so good carrying so much extra weight? But really this season Ailton has impressed me so much so that I think Sir Bobby should be getting the chequebook out this summer but no doubt he will be snapped up by Chelsea before we can even reach for the pen...

Also someone else that gets ripped for having had an extra pie or two is Mark Viduka for Leeds! But look at him last season when he almost single handedly kept Leeds in the Premiership with something like 12 goals in their last 10 games! Looks like every team should have a porker to pair up with a lightning fast partner...I would say Shearer and Bellamy but Shearer isn't fat he's just strong but same sort of thing!

You are right, some of these guys have too much junk in the trunk but as long as they keep producing for their teams people will let it slide. Remember Maradona, he was always fat, even when he was at the top of his game. I think world class players like that should stay in shape period. There is no excuse for putting on that much weight. These guys have practice three times a week and then real games once or twice a week. With these much physical activity how can they get so fat? Another lardo is Paraguayan goal keeper Chilavert. He really let himself go, it's pretty sad. :dontcare:
