Vote for the player you want to join Lazio most and tell why you chose him over the other player. This is according to the latest reports that Nakata or Pizarro will join Lazio.

Nakata! Because then he will bring Sony as our sponsors and we will be given 5 Million Euro from them! That could easily pay some wages or something. Also he may not be the best player but if Mancini helps him find his Perugia form then we have a great player. Also he will bring alot of Japanese viewers and they will become Lazio fans, It will be the same as beckham because he is widely followed in Japan, China etc. But we have too many midfielders so someone would have to leave to make way for either Pizarro or Nakata.

Aaron

Yes but we need a Major sponsor?

Pizarro maybe better, but still i dont think there is room for even either of these players. We need to off load someone before signing either one of these players

Is Nakata a striker? If he is then I say him, if they're both midfielders then I say Pizarro. I haven't voted yet.

Nakata is a midfielder mate.

Why would Sony sponser us just because we'll have Nakata??

Aaron

Well as i read, Sony is obviously a Japanese company and are willing to sponsor lazio due to we would have a japanese player on our team and sometimes they might even pay his wages as i think that is the case at Everton they have some Two Chinese players and there main sponsor 'Kenjan' or something pay there wages and sponsor the team so they can make everton a much larger side in China and have some of there own chinese players in the squad. But i am not 100% sure

EDIT.

Also someone like Suzuki is payed wages by some japanese company as well.

I would pick Pizarro anyway, Nakata is better for the economy when you first look at it, but his wages are huge and that Lazio can't afford right now, so I am not sure he would accept an offer from Lazio. He's a very good player though, great technique, good shot and very creative with the right players around him.
I would take Pizarro, even though the central midfielders are really piling up, but a plyer like him will only make Lazio better. I think he was Udinese's best player last season, but I only saw maybe 4-5 games with them. He will find it a little hard to find enough playing time and he needs to play, since he is still only 24. However Lazio plays in 3 competitions (if we beat Benfica)so we need players with quality to compete in all of these competitions.
But, I don't think we will sign neither of these players...

I'll quote myself here :D

I would rather say that chances of signing Nakata are minimal and signing Pizarro is 50/50.

Aaron

Seriously i don't think we will sign either, There is no room. Why change our midfield it is the best in the serie a now by far!

Darran

Pizarro is the player I voted for, he is a much talented player and would be essential in our team especially with rumours stating that Mendieta and Fiore will leave. Pizarro's technical ability outclasses Nakata in every aspect, we can't possibly sign Nakata as a marketing tool like what Real Madrid did, sure it will bring us the much needed funds but don't forget we need to build a strong team to challenge in the Serie A and Champions League.

I voted for Pizarro, but I kind of agree with Komik_9 here.. I don't think we'll sign either.

There is reports saying that Baraldi says that we will sign either one of them by the end of next week, I hope that is true because if reports are true that Mendieta will join Atletico Madrid, then we will need a replacement.

Of those two I'd pick Pizarro, but i think the money would be better spent getting in either a defender or a striker. Your midfield is excellent already.

i voted pizarro!

firstly nakata is a former romanista we dont need anymore of those around!

nakata is not that good for our econommy he has a huge salary and we really cant fancy that! about sony being our sponosor?../.. i believe we can find alternatives to sony!

about pizarro well hes different, i believe manci preffers him and he has no doubts about joining lazio unlike nakata!

but i hope none of them come unless we sell mednieta. and if we do sell mendieta we should make sure we get one ofthese two!

Aaron

Well the Pizarro deal if OFF!

Now Lazio apparetly will turn there attention to Nakata, Also the deal with Baggio to wolverhampton has failed also the bid for Marco Simone

Nakata-- a Japanese, a former Romanista, a big salary consumer... For me it just can't be worse! It's true that he may be good for our Asia market development and in the field he has his advantage, but for me, to accept his coming is impossible. I won't welcome him even Parma gave him to us for free. I think at least every Chinese Laziale shares the similar opinion. So :stop: this deal...... :annoyed:

Aaron
08-06-2003, 11:04 AM
What's the matter with a Japanese player man, Just because he is Nip doesn't mean he is a bad player. The deal should be done by next week, Baraldi wants him and so does mancini now the player has to accept. Mancini and Baraldi said last night that they are now in desperate needs to sign players due to the collapse of the udinese deal, We will learn who will arrive next week.

But Lazio really needs to concentrate on August the 13th, It is our goal to get into CL and it will happen but the players around now really need to set there mind on that game, Lazio has around two friendly's before the game and they will be perfect to choose who to play in the qualifier.

Forza Lazio

Aaron
08-10-2003, 12:19 PM
Yeah, Fact is it's either E'to or Nakata! Mancio expressed today that he wants Nakata in his squad. But it is a damn good striker we will see what happens in the coming days, But we really need a defender!

if lazio is prepared to waste 7.3 on eto'o they really must have issues!

eto'o is an excellent player but sometimes we seem to forget we are struggling financially! we should buy someone cheaper and not risk loosing castroman whom i see as the future of the club!

i think we should loan castroman out!

and for nakata, its a pretty big price, he earns a shit load of cash, maybe a little too much for us! and parma ,may not wanna sell him now as they just sold mutu to chelsea!

we should consider other options!

maybe we could loan in riquelme with an option to buy him at the end of the season! not a big salary, and im sure he will have fuin playing here and show the world who juan roman riquelme is! hes pure class!

Darran
08-11-2003, 11:08 AM
Yes, Riquelme would be a great option, he is out of favour with Barca at the moment. He failed to show his true talent, in my opinion, he is one of the most talented playmakers in the world. I hope we can sign him, he would be a great asset to Lazio.

No Pizarro from Udinese

Aaron

There is no need for another midfielder at all, We need a defender and a striker well Pizzaro is a great young and talented striker he would be a great prospect for the future and now.

Darran
08-12-2003, 10:36 AM
Pizarro is a midfielder, a playmaker, he isn't a striker at all. What makes you think he was a striker?
