I dont know why I feel the need to justify myself to your kind. And by the way, manchester United fans are seen as some of the most knowledgeable around. We recognise great football. eg. standing ovation for Ronaldo against Madrid last season. Standing ovation for Fulham for turning us over recently.

Sorry True Red but James Beattie an England International, no chance. As for him playing for the mighty Reds forget it, he is not good enough & his style of play can be snuffed out quite easy, especially by International players who know what they are doing. I grant you i'm writing this after the Denmark game where i thought he looked lost, but i think that match confirmed what Sven think of him as an International player....useless.

I must admit out lack of quality strikers for England is quite worrying, apart from Owen & Rooney we do not have anyone else who is good enough for International standard football. I mean Emile "The Flying Donkey" Heskey, he is a total waste of space, he has to be one of the most overated players ever & he plays for England. I do actually like Darius Vassell, he has pace, strength & he can finish, all the qualities u want in a good striker. If only he played for a bigger & better club he would become a better player & a bigger asset to England. I would not mind him at OT, plus he has never let England down when he does play, he looks like he has the makings of a top striker, he just needs the rough edges smoothed off & Fergie is the man to do it.

The only other player i would like to be given a chance upfront before the finals is Chris Sutton, i know he has similar traits to Beattie, but he is a much stronger & composed players & has the experience. I never really rated him that highly, but he has impressed me a lot in the CL for Celtic this season. So Sven give him a chance.

James Beattie, i must admit, looked out of his depth when he played against the Danes, as he did in the last england match he played. But that doesnt rule him out for manchester united. Look at Andy Cole. One of the all time greats, just couldnt cut it for England.

Beattie, Vassel are two strikers I want to see at OT. One because theyre Engliah, and two because theyre class.
