Duccio Innocenti è il primo dei nuovi acquisti della Lazio targati 2003-2004.
Il difensore proveniente dal Bari è nato a Prato il 20.09.1975. Il suo peso è di 80 Kg, l'altezza di 186 centimetri.
Ha esordito in serie A il 13 settembre 1998 nella partita Bari - Venezia (1-0).
Ha iniziato a giocare al calcio con il Coiano (Prato) squadra di dilettanti della sua città.
Da lì è passato alla Fiorentina dove ha effettuato tutta la trafila delle giovanili. Dalla società viola è passato prima al Pontedera (stagione 95-96) quindi alla Lucchese (stagioni 96-97 e 97-98).
Infine l'approdo al Bari dove ha militato per cinque stagioni (dal 98-99) di cui tre in serie A e due in B collezionando in totale 145 presenze e realizzando 8 reti.
Difensore eclettico, ha giocato infatti sia da centrale difensivo che da laterale destro che addirittura da esterno sinistro sempre di difesa, ha dichiarato di essere curioso di vedersi all'opera con i tanti campioni in organico nella Società biancoceleste.
Ha sempre indossato la maglia con il numero tredici che nella Lazio raccoglierebbe come "pesante eredità" da un certo Alessandro Nesta.
Non è sposato, vive con i genitori Mauro e Lorenza e con il cane Clein.
Viaggia con una Mercedes Classe A, per hobby gioca a golf mentre in vacanza si concede qualche escursione con le moto d'acqua. Ama le canzoni di Vasco Rossi ed i film di Julia Roberts e Kevin Costner. Ovvio che la sua pellicola preferita sia The Bodyguard con protagonisti i suoi due attori preferiti.

<b>Innocenti relishing Lazio chance</b>

Defender Duccio Innocenti has described his move to Lazio as an "opportunity of a lifetime."

"I’m very honoured that I will be able to wear the Biancoceleste shirt," said the Prato-born stopper.

"I did have a number of offers from other clubs but I chose Lazio because it is a side with great ambition."

The 28-year-old has joined the capital outfit this summer on a free transfer after his contract at Bari expired.

"I’m fascinated by the possibility of playing in the Champions’ League even if the competition for places is high at this club," he continued.

"But the fact that I will have to fight for a first team shirt is an extra stimulus for me to give my very best."

Lazio are in fact already in pre-season training, in preparation for their Champions’ League preliminary game, and the former Fiorentina man has settled in well.

"I’ve found a united squad," he continued. "It is very easy to work here and Roberto Mancini is a great Coach. I can’t wait to make my debut."

How sad this must be for Innocenti, he would be going to Atalanta in an exchange deal with Zauri, I really pity him, he waited for this chance but I guess it just didn't happen. He would have to wait longer for a chance to play in the Serie A.

Its definitely confirmed, he is not a Lazio player, he did not play in the friendly, so I hope he can continue to impress just like he did at Bari and hopefully one day, he will experience his dream to play in the Serie A.

Well it was the new virus, and it wasn't my fault that my computer got infected, it was XP's fault. It's so vunerable! But now it should be cleared, remains to be seen I guess.
