The blockbuster five-player deal between Lazio and Udinese is on the verge of collapse as it has emerged that Fabio Liverani is steadfastly opposed to switching the Olimpico for the Stadio Friuli.
The fringe Italian international is part of a major player exchange planned between Lazio and Udinese, which also includes Lucas Castroman, David Pizarro, Martin Jorgensen and Alberto.
"I don't know who made this decision and I certainly hope it wasn't Lazio," said a ticked-off Liverani, speaking from his honeymoon in Seychelles.
"It's disgraceful that talks have been concluded without me even knowing about it," the 27-year-old midfielder continued. "It's not the right way to go about the future of a football player. If this is the case I can quite happily tell you that I will not be moving to Udinese."

I think Liverani does not want to play for a weaker team and I think he deserves a much better team but he has yet to prove that to us. His performances have been fairly average and I don't see any reason we should keep him. Players like Jorgensen and Pizarro who has impressed many throughout their career should be given a chance to shine in a team like Lazio

Well he did play well occasionally...it's just that we have too many players who play well occasionally.
What we need now are players who play well always!

Well I'm just disappointed because this was like the perfect deal. But after playing in bigger teams Udinese is of course a bit too small for Liverani. At least that's what he thinks... But they did get into the Uefa cup.

It really looks like we may be getting Pizarro after all. He would be included in the transfer involving Castroman and then a further 12m euros. The transfer involves Jorgensen and Alberto too. Jorgensen would be half-owned by Lazio and Alberto would be on loan. This seems to be a great deal except for the fact that Castroman is leaving. Lazio still lacks a quality centre-back though, I think we would need to sign 1 as soon as possibl.e

looks like this will be only a dream, as mendieta is set to stay our midfield would be too packed with jorgensen and pizarro

With Mendieta accepting the 40% pay cut, it would be a great chance for him to finally prove himself as a whole class player and win back the tifosi's support.
