LUCA MARCHEGIANI is looking for a new club after being released by Lazio.
The veteran custodian, 37, still believes he has another season in the Italian top-flight left in him, and admits he is not yet ready to bring the curtain down on his career.
"He who has lived football like me, still wants to postpone the day of official leaving the game," said the former Italian international.
"I knew my the contract was going to expire, and I also thought to leave, but the truth is that I still want to put myself under discussion for another year.
"I'm tranquil and I wait for an interesting proposal that could reward me, and I won't rely on the economic aspect."
It is rumoured that Serie A new boys Ancona, and Serie B Napoli are both interested in the experienced custodian, and Marchegiani acknowledged he would welcome a move to Naples.
"I still consider myself a good keeper, even if in last three years I haven't played a lot.
"In football things are forgotten soon, but I think I have achieved important things.
"I would be pleased to go to Napoli, it's a good team but I have no intention to force anyone because I never did it also at Lazio."
