Stefano Fiore has shot down reports of a move to Juventus by pledging his allegiance to Lazio.
"It is nice to hear that you are wanted by other clubs," admitted the midfielder, "but at Lazio I have found my identity as a player."
The former Udinese man struggled in his first year in the Capital, but this season has rediscovered his splendid form under the guidance of Roberto Mancini.
"Feeling that a Coach like him has faith in you can really help bring out 100 per cent from a player," explained Fiore.
Now that the Biancocelesti have qualified for the Champions' League preliminary round and been given an injection of fresh funds from investors, the future is bright for this club.
"We all get along very well," he noted after the squad agreed wage reduced contracts to prevent bankruptcy.
"I get the feeling that the only way some problems would emerge within the group is if there was talk of special contracts for Jaap Stam and Dejan Stankovic."
The two players are hot properties on the transfer market and have been continually linked with Juventus, Inter and Milan over the last few months.
Bernardo Corradi is also a prime target for the big teams, but Fiore went on holiday with his teammate in New York and assures, "I am certain the striker will stay at Lazio."
The new financial situation at the club has also increased Lazio's spending power on the market.
It's reported that Parma have rejected a new bid for Adrian Mutu, consisting of Giuseppe Pancaro, Giuliano Giannichedda and a cash sum.
Negotiations will continue and if the Biancocelesti can succeed in selling Gaizka Mendieta and Claudio Lopez, they can raise the necessary funds for the Romanian.
