and between Javier and Thuram it is pretty even, but Javier is better offensively.

BUFFON is better than TOLDO.....cos he's younger...he has better reflexes......hell he's the best goalkeeper on the planet.........
...as for JAVIER vs THURAM......you know what THURAM is considered as the best defender in the world......he can play as a CENTRAL back and as a right back any time......ZANETTI is wayyyyyy better dribler....but their possition is in the defense.....i dont know THURAM made some spectacular saves through the whole C.LEAGUE matches.....while ZANETTI plays offten in the offense...wich leaves the defense nacked......maybe if he plays more in the defense he would be a better right back than THURAM.......

Between the 'keepers it's close, they are the 2 best in the world, but I believe Toldo shades it as he is more commanding in his area and is better in the air off crosses, corners etc. I'm probably biased though ;) .
As for J Zanetti and Thuram, I would say definitely Zanetti, as Thuram has lost some of his pace and is better at CB IMO.

It's all about preference, if you want an attacking full back than Javier's your man, but if you want some defensive assurance as well, then it's Thuram. Depends on what the coach want
Buffon is better than Toldo definitely. By the time he reaches Toldo's age he could eclipse Kahn as the best keeper in the world, and be up there amongst Zoff, Yashin, Banks and Maier.

In my opinion, Buffon is better. Not by far, but he is better.

As for Javier and Thuram, i dont think they can be compared. Offensivly, Javier is better ofcourse. As for the defense i would give Thuram a slight advantage.

His reflexes are better(faster), and he's a much better penalty stopper.
The Toldo of 2000 has left us and this season he was as bad in penalties as a regular keeper in Israeli local league....

We pay him too much.
I expected more from him.
I also don't forget his great saves....

But he must have stopped that Tomy Anderson bomb, it was from so far distance and all the sight was clear...

As to J. Zanneti...
Our Captain is fantastic! F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-K !!!
He's very powerfull, almost never get hurt, freat dribbeler, and an excellent defender(except in the beginning of this year).

Overall, J. Zanneti is the best in the world in his position...

on the other hand Toldo against Valencia was the miracle hero! He was perfect! I would rate Toldo higher and even if his reflexes are lower than Buffon's his experience is larger!

Thuram this season was better than Javier in CL. But they both were very good actually. as a defender Thuram is better, as offensive winger Javier is better :silly:

It was Vieri's season! we desperately need creative mid and then having Vieri and Crespo in attack we will destroy whatever team we want :rolling:

did u guys see thuram play against real in the 2nd leg, he did good. and he did sh*t loads of interception in the CL. especially against barca

but javier is my forst choice :D
