Hope you get the six points too - not impossible, as Finland are very tough to beat at home...if you do, you'll blow the group wide open.
Many Welsh fans are behind you, you'll be doing us a big favour along with yourselves - hopefully we'll be able to return the compliment by winning our qualifiers against Serbia and Italy!
I'd like to see Wales and Finland go through personally - we're small countries with limited resources, which always makes it tougher for us to sustain a campaign...but also we both have some quality players who deserve to grace the finals of a major tournament - Litmannen and Giggs being the obvious examples.
Hear that Niemi is injured (he's been excellent this season, ironically keeping our own goalie Paul Jones out of 1st team football). How about the rest of your squad...am I correct in assuming that you have most of your 1st team players available?
Anyway, good luck - it's being televised live, here in Wales...
GO FINLAND!

Thanks for the support. Personally I am also cheering for Wales as I'm a Welsh citizen living in Finland !
Auxerre's Teemu Tainio & Southampton's Antti Niemi are both injured. :(

Lionheart, you have any info on Finnish twins Moisander, playing for TPS Turku (well now ajax) born in 2005? Know they are goalie and defender, but do you know them and if so, rate them high?

I rate them very high indeed. They are very promising. I've never seen Henrik play in goal but I saw Niklas play one match for TPS this season and he was quite good when you take into regard his inexperience and age. I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot about them in years to come. :)

Think the Fins will get 'at least' a draw against Italy...you're playing well at the moment (and importantly, with most of your first team available).
Thought Forssell's goal was fantastic - I've been an admirer of his since seeing his debut for Chelsea, and think they've treated him, very shabbily.
He needs to move on to a club that will give him the 1st team football he deserves - at 22, with his talent, he has a career to think of.
Wouldn't mind seeing him at Cardiff City, if we make it into the Premiership!

I'm from Finland :D In here is very hard to find any teams if you are really really good but only your little team know that so you dont have any teams to go. Its really hard really really hard. Only if you live in the Helsinki our Turku and others big cities in Finland. Then somebody from bigger team see your skills. I think the Finland is come to better and better all the time. Like Antti Niemi he is little bit too old now, but like that Pasi Saarinen I dont remember is that firstname Pasi but He is talent I think. this is not so important to this forum but I just say and that's it. And you have to remember this, in Finland is really really long winter snow and cold so you cant train your skils in winter and in spring you are not so good than last autumn :dontcare:
