View Full Version : I Quit
I decline my moderatorship role as i feel we need new faces in the mod list.
I like this place a lot, i have made good friends and not so good friends.
However whilst trying to pursue a medical degree, i do not feel i will have the time available to be a good moderator like doz.
As i have allready explained in the sticky about new mods, i feel we should hold elections every year, in which members can vote for 4 moderators, and in this years election i decline from being a nominee.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who made me feel welcome on this board, and who have supported me to my role as a moderator, i hope to put my name in next years elections, but for now i need time out.

You too?
Damn, this is incredible...dozzers retiring decision has really made some big waves. All I can say is thank you, 001: you've been a good mod during my time at WSB.
The idea of a yearly vote for moderators sounds O.K. to me, it's very democratic anyway...

U2? :bloody:
To be honest, i'm not terribly surprised at your decision 001. I think all four of us did a great job over the last few months and i think that the idea of yearly elections is great, it's something i'd thought about before but never proposed.
yes the idea is great!
001 thank you for being a good friend and for being a co-worker I mean mod, we're real good team!
I will fully support your candidature next year ;)
so you gonna be a doctor? in which area?

001, you have been a great mod, and also a realy good friend:) We have shared opinions and discussed in the good times and in the bad times.
So will you have time to post anyway. Hope you do.
I wish you become a part of Inters medical stuff, as they have done serious bull in the past, so we will need a new, good and fresh doctors and physiothrapists;)

Good idea.
i thank you my good friends for you support, i think it is a good idea for an annual change in moderators, it allows new members to really get into it. I hope to post onto the board in my spare time.
I must remind my friends enquiring about my future medical career, that i am only a first year, in a potential 6 year course in order to be registered in the British Medical Association
And then a further few years to train in a special department.
basically i am as green as the grass on the san siro pitch :D
If i try join inter, i am sure the competition is immense, plus i dont know a word of italian....but interesting prospect eh.
nah, my mind is set on being a peadatrician (kids doctor)..but who knows?
James, you're surprising.
Good luck with your study and don't forget about the board.;)

what's a matter with you...............i see that you have other responsabilities....but what is happening with the mods here.....:consfused:.........001.....doz decision grevs me but you'rs i find it quite surprising.......you and Zek are my best friends...and................who's next Zek????????
Dont worry, i dont plan on bailing out of the board, i just feel that i am not gonna be around as much to deserve moderator status.
I used to spend hours here, navigating all the weird threads, and comments made by the likes of all you. And then i would visit milan and juve DESERT where no man has ever been
But now, i think i will only have time to check on the stickys the scudetto and CL ones.

I don't like this idea. I posted my take on it in the Moderator's Lounge. Here's what I posted in fact (for those of you who don't have access to that forum):

I think it's good to change/add moderators where and when they are needed. However, I TOTALLY DISAGREE with the idea of general elections for moderator positions every year. Moderators should remove themselves if they are incapable of fulfilling their obligations, or Omar should make that decision based on the situation at hand. Also, general elections could remove a more than capable moderator who has contributed a great deal to the board just for "change". Don't get me wrong, change is good, but there's no need for general elections every year. It's fine to have a general election if there is a vacancy (the results of which would ideally ultimately be TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION by Omar), but no need to otherwise.
