That's a nice picture of a fatass policemen looking like he's doing his job. And then we wonder why crime is so high and why our politicians keep getting whacked. We have now become the worst of the worst. Not even in the most politically unstable countries in S.America or in Africa are political murders this common as in Serbia. But maybe this is good.... pretty soon all our politicians will either be dead or in the Hague. Then we can start clean from the beginning.

Ivane, preterujes.

Nije li pre godinu dana ubijen politicar u Holandiji, nije li ETA u Spaniji redovno ubijala ministre i postavljala bombe...

SERBIAN PM ASSASSINATED

Martial law in wake of Djindjic assassination

BELGRADE, Wednesday (B92) – Acting Serbian President Natasa Micic late on Wednesday proclaimed a state of emergency in Serbia after the assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic.

Djindjic was gunned down outside the Serbian Government building at 12.30 this afternoon, sustaining wounds to the heart and chest.

Surgical and resuscitation teams at the Belgrade Emergency Centre failed to revive him and he was pronounced dead just 65 minutes later.

Senior police officer Sreten Lukic told B92 that the prime minister’s bodyguards did not return the fire and that police arrived on the scene within minutes.

The shots were fired by a sniper positioned on the roof of a building across the street which is in the process of renovation.

Three suspects have been detained in connection with the assassination.

ne preterujem. U Holandiji je bio jedan incident. ETA se vise ni ne cuje. A koliko je atentata i pokusaja na atentat bilo u Srbiji u poslednjih 3 godine? Djindjic nije poslednji.

I don't know and I don't really care. Like numerous high-profile political assassinations in the recent years in Serbia, this one too will go unsolved.

Severus,

The government has identified a group of 20 mobsters (the 'Zemun clan') which it blames for the murder. Apparently the government was due to bring up several charges against them this week (including an attempted assassination of the prime minister just a week ago, several kidnappings, drug trafficking, 50 or so murders in the past decade, etc.) - now they've added the assasination (this time successful) to the list.

tis a shame. you know when mobsters assassinate political leaders it's because they're legit. well, as legit as one can be anyway.

how long did he have left in his term ?

Who is "they"? The mobsters or the politicians?

The rest of his life. A little thing you should learn is that politicians in Serbia and in the surrounding countries don't leave politics when their "term" expires. They leave politics when they are either arrested, shot, or forced into retirement by life threats.
