Mendieta to Fulham?

Fulham have joined the race for Spanish midfielder Gaizka Mendieta.
Currently on-loan with Barcelona, Mendieta is expected to be returned to Lazio at the end of the season.

The Rome club has held talks with Valencia about a transfer for their former club skipper, while Inter Milan trainer Hector Cuper is also interested in the Spanish international.

Fulham reportedly contacted Lazio earlier this week and were quoted £10 million for Mendieta's outright transfer.

Fulham are currently under investigation anyway after unpaid installments to their record signing Steve Marlet. They could be barred from making transfers

Well they can solve the problems thanks to their rich chairman, he can easily pump in the money needed to seal this transfer but if a better offer comes, I say go for it

Inter and Valencia wants Mendieta? That is great news, I hope we don't take him back because he earns 4m euros a year and that is a huge amount. If the offer is reasonable, we would sell him. I hope Inter or Valencia offers us around 14m euros for him that could solve a lot of players wages/
