This is just my personal opinion.
4-4-2
------------------ Ahn Jung-Hwan------------- Naohiro Takahara--------
Shinji Ono------------------ Nakata Hidetoshi------------ Park Ji-Sung
---------------------------------- Juinichi Inamoto-------------------------
Lee Young-Pyo---- Sun Ji Hai -- Hong Myung-Bo--Song Chong-gug
--------------------------------Lee Woon-Jae------------------------------
Most of these are players only from the world cup. Obviously Korea and Japan produced the most players becuase they've shown solid results. However, Saudi Arabia and China were very disappointing and I've only added Sun Ji Hai from China.
I personally think Japan has skillful midfielders whereas Korea has a solid defense. Although Hong has retired from the national team, he still plays in LA Galaxy. Lee and Song are both playing in Holland showing great talent. Japanese midfielders like Ono, Nakata, and Inamoto are definitely world-class. Especially Nakata!
The forward line is Ahn-Takahara. I thought Ahn could even play as a 'shadow-striker' behind Takahara, building up chances and even scoring goals himself. His position would be similar to Rui Costa and Raul's. Takahara recently made it to the German Bundesliga scoring a goal against Kahn. Although we don't hear much from him now, I still think he is a skilled striker. He is definitely better than Suzuki or Yanagisawa.
