22:44 Lazio boss Roberto Mancini has deflected speculation that he is on the verge of making a summer switch to Inter.
Nerazzurri President Massimo Moratti is a well-known admirer of the former Italian international and reports suggest he could be a target if Hector Cuper is shown the door.
"I think that Moratti already has an excellent man in charge," Mancini told Italian TV show ‘Controcampo.’
"It is difficult to talk about the future because in all honesty I am still concentrating on the rest of the season with Lazio," added the Sampdoria legend.
"I have a UEFA Cup to win, the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Roma, and the League campaign to concentrate on for the time being."
However, reports continue to suggest that Mancini could be heading to the San Siro next season – especially because of Lazio’s financial problems.
"The financial situation is being dealt with and we are all hopeful at the club that everything can be sorted out by June," he continued.
"But I don’t have a soft spot for Inter," he added. "That is not the case at all. Sampdoria are the team that have a special place in my heart."
Mancini took over at Lazio in the summer after the capital giants decided to fire Alberto Zaccheroni.
