I don't know if this is true, but I heard that UEFA told him to go home cuz he ruined the game or something.....

can someone confirm this?

nah i don't think so. He just wasn't one of the final 8 guys picked. Besides, it would look kind of bad him refereeing a game with a big bandage above his eye :) :) Must be humiliating LOL!!
