actually he is that good, one of the best midfieldes in italy. It all depends on what someone likes about a player one might like the style of Nedved more than Emre others Emre more so than others. This is what makes discussions fun. I personally like Emre's role at Inter at the World Cup he played a different role but now is playing in a role similar with Inter's. just like Nihat of Real Sociedad this guy did not get one game in the World Cup and now he will be starting vs. England as a striker! He never played striker for us until now.

There certainly are better players than him now. But he cartainly is one of the best young players in Serie A. He's next Miccoli in the younsters A List.

There is certianly a growth in small, wide, quick feet players nowadays when you see the likes of Emre and Miccoli and Davide Pizarro and even Martins playing out of their skin in Italy.
Plus rookies such as Nihat at Sociedad, not to mention guys like Bellamy.

They are so difficult to mark because of their low centre of gravity, tall defenders who turn slowly must watch out, so don't be surprised if Ferdinand and whoever shall play with him since Campbell maybe out have a nightmare on Wednesday.

Emre is a player that when he was 12 or 13 years old, big teams of Turkey were competing to transfer him.He was one of the most important players of legendary GS squad of 1996-2001,that he promoted in 1997.He scored a goal against mallorca at 99-2000 uefa cup quarter finals,1st match at spain,1-4,was the 2nd or 3rd goal i think,it was the best goal shot i ever saw.Was %100 technic and calculation.He realy can be very efficient in inter if he can be used truely,his place should be the 'forward-playmaker' like Roberto Baggio,Del piero etc..he should know that he plays 90 minutes except injuries and his trainer and team mates should believe him.He realy has the talent to play the main role in inter's offense (not deffense like he s been used since he came).Believe him Zac,and he will give titles..

I think he'll use Emre as a central midfielder. At present I'm not sure he can be a trequartista, he lacks the have the vision to pass through gaps to strikers or make space. He can certainly develop into a deep lying playmaker like Veron and Guardiola though.

Yes it looks like he will be used like Guardiola,more at back.Since he came,Inter team is playing a bit defensiv game,i think emre is doing well at the center of field,more a blocker of oponents attacks,and when there s a forward like Vieri,i quite say ok to that playing style..the players except forwards doesnt enter to attacks too much..I think if inter will play more offensive game sometimes,emre will have chance to prove his offensive skills.

I want to tell about the goal i mentioned above ,it was fantastic friends,i m not sure if video is availabe somewhere, Galatasaray was on attack and opponent defensors were staying crowded around penalty area ,Emre got the ball at left outside corner of penalty area(the area that fouls become penalty)when he got the ball and controlled,his face was turned to side line of pitch,the net and keeper was at his right-back,when he started the act,his right foot was on the ground,he swinged his left foot for the touch to ball,with front-inside of his left foot,at the same time twisted 90 degrees on his right foot,and ball went like a kite,having slight curve,went to the far top corner of net.I was watching at a crowded cafe and when ball was gone 1 meter from his foot,i jumped that i sensed it was goal..:) people behind me couldnt see the goal :)

Emre is not the best midfielder in Italy at the moment, but only Nedved, Seedorf and Davids are better. Give him 3-5 years he will be the best.

Hi the nicknamed 'belozoglu' who posted about rivaldo,if u r still around here,lots of ppl like u complained about rivaldo that he made role about injury;but no one mentioned about the real imbecileness of hakan unsal that he threw the ball to rivaldo like cannon,that was deserving red card even if rivaldo was not injured,so he tried to make reffree see that ,cause they miss sometimes..that idiot mentality now reached to its conclusion with letonia ruin..not criticising that neandertal moves of hakan unsal,hasan sas,bulent korkmaz..they act like they hate the game since the summit that galata reached,they couldnt carry the weight of being world class player..even doubtful if they r or not..where are hakan uns and hasan sas for years,what are they doing and they keep being countries most famous heroes,they live like lords altough doing nothing,hasan ,last year didnt score for some 35 games and he said 'i have been unlucky!!!!'..he didnt play a single game properly since WC and no one criticised..at england serie at 1st match in istanbul players like alpay, bulent and substitute hasan the great sas acted all idiotly and made all the refrees in alarm for turkish squad and u saw what happened in letonia first match,how gilles vessiere was prepared for that against the team..mentality of ppl like u brought the football here..
