Euro2000-Yugoslavia's Kezman given two-match ban
ROTTERDAM, June 19 (Reuters)(DS) - Yugoslavia's Mateja Kezman
has been banned for two matches after his red card in the Euro
2000 victory over Norway, UEFA said on Monday.
Scottish referee Hugh Dallas sent off Kezman for a bad
tackle within a minute of the player coming on as a substitute
in a bad-tempered game won 1-0 by Yugoslavia on Sunday night.
UEFA fined Yugoslavia 6,000 Swiss francs ($3,700) after they
had four players cautioned against the Norwegians.
Slovenia, who feature in the same group as Yugoslavia, were
fined 8,000 Swiss francs for having four players booked in the
defeat by Spain on Sunday.
Slovenia coach Srecko Katanec was also reprimanded for
"repeatedly showing dissent towards the referee".

Is it me, or does UEFA have something against Balkan and Eastern European teams?
If our fans had caused even half the trouble that the English hooligans caused, we would have been thrown out a long time ago!
