Legend Sarti blasts Inter
Inter legend Giuliano Sarti has criticised Massimo Moratti, Hector Cuper and the players after the 3-0 defeat at Juventus.
The goalkeeper, who starred for the great Inter side of the 1960s, was left unimpressed as the Bianconeri convincingly beat the San Siro giants last night.
"Moratti gets involved in the front line far too often, there really needs to be someone at the club who can act as a filter," said Sarti.
"He needs to take more of a back seat but when he does intervene he needs to do in a more incisive manner, like his father did."
Few Nerazzurri players lived up to their potential at the Delle Alpi as the home side dominated from start to finish.
"This side lacks balance," continued Sarti. "Then Cuper picks players like Guly (scorer of an own goal) who have never convinced in the big games.
"All of the team looked out of sorts. Even players like Christian Vieri, Gabriel Batistuta and Francesco Toldo."
Inter boss Cuper admitted after the loss that he was responsible but Sarti doesn’t seem to be his biggest fan.
"He changes too many players," he continued. "He is a very honest person who admits mistakes but that doesn’t change the situation too much."
However, Juventus director general Luciano Moggi doesn’t think that Inter are totally out of the Scudetto race.
"Everyone saw the difference between the two sides last night but they and Milan remain the teams to beat," Moggi told Radio RAI on Monday.
"The championship is a long one and we still haven’t won anything yet. But after the defeat against Manchester United we showed that we have the spirit and desire to get back to winning ways."
