I was talking to an 'insider' on the weekend and he told me a few rumours that are apparently doing the rounds. These were
1. Beckham's injury was just a graze but he made it look far worse than it actually was and later had to apologise to Fergie for it.
2. Leeds are already planning to sell three top players in the summer unless we finish in the top six. This is worrying since we only have three top players and won't get anywhere near the top six.
3. Liverpool are getting a new manager in the summer and Houllier will be moving upstairs.
4. If Houllier stays at Liverpool (either as manager or upstairs), Steven Gerrard will leave because they hate each other and Houllier doesn't rate Gerrard as a player.
I can understand numbers 1 and 2. But the Liverpool ones look a bit far fetched, can anyone shed light on wether this is true or not?

I've heard 1,2, and 3(with Martin O'Neill as the new man).Four is half true, Gerrard does despise Houllier but he won't leave.

There have been many rumours about O'Neill managing Liverpool up here. But personally, I don't really see that becoming the case. Houllier's team style isn't working with Liverpool, and many fans seem to think that he has gone against the Liverpool ethic of slick, attractive football. The EXACT SAME thing has happened up here with O'Neill at Celtic. Except they are still winning!
If O'Neill replaced Houllier, I can't really see how Liverpool's style of play would change that much, they are both very similar managers in that respect.
On a side note, people are getting excited about the prospect of a "Battle of Britain" with Celtic meeting Liverpool in the UEFA Cup. These two are arguably Britain's most famous teams for that passing game that neutrals find so attractive. But with the way these two teams play currently, it would be one of those stereotypical "British" games, with long balls all over the place!

It's hard to play attractive footbal in Scotland cos most teams play kick and rush, and O'Neill does try and get them to play it(sometimes)i'd prefer O'Neill to Houllier but i want Rijkaard.

I'd take Rijkard's sexy football too!

a robinson to arsenal move is only a matter of time imo
