I just wanted to ask you... all of you guys who thought that getting Coco for Seedorf would be a great deal... what do you have to say. Seedorf has become a "pillar" in the new Milan.. and he scored two fantastic goals yesterday... goals vieri can never score.
I just hope you are regretful, cause i was always against selling our most versatile player.
Please don't compare Vieri and Seedorf, they are two totally different players.
But i agree with your point. At the time it looked like a great deal; Seedorf was playing crap for us and we needed a left back that could play without making mistakes every match. You can't blame the club, it looked like the right solution at the time.
So far Milan have certainly been the winners in this deal. Seedorf is playing great and Coco is either injured or underperforming. Hopefully that will change soon.

The fact is...it looks like a totally new seedorf... when he was at Inter.. it seemed as he was supressed, and nervous. He had no confidence etc etc... same with Pirlo, Simic etc etc...
When they joined milan, they have become better football players. Why is that???
I think it's fair to say that Milan's style of football is superior to ours and therefore players like Pirlo and Seedorf enjoy themselves more and play better. As for Simic, he was never really a regular for us and the run of games he's getting at Milan has obviously built up his confidence.

it sure seemed as a great deal.
but we can't only look at the negative aspect of the deal . Seedorf's departure was probably a reason in Emre's getting a starting place in the squad .
Seedorf is a wonderful player and we knew that when we got him from Real ... but that wasn't the case when he played for us
we also should not forget that one of the main reasons he left was because he didn't get along with Cuper ... so the obvious choice was "get rid of the player instead of the coach"

How Vieri's name comes up in this thread I'll never know. Actually, seeing who started this thread it's not hard to figure it out.
I for one wanted to keep Seedorf and buy Coco outright. You'd have to go back pretty far and do some searching to find it, but I did. I still wanted to bring Coco in though, just a straight cash deal. I personally feel Coco would be best utilized on the left wing as opposed to the left back. Cuper should try it. If it works, we can save some money this summer on a left wing.
As for Seedorf producing more at Milan, I'd say it's down to him getting a consistent run of play more than anything else. Sure he's got a better attacking supporting cast and a style of play that suits him more. However, for Inter he often got a few games at a time and not an extended run. You can't just put someone out there and expect them to perform right away. Well, Vieri does, but that's different.

seedorf's playing well because he's not the focal point in the midfield. playing with inter there was nobody else to ease the pressure off of him. and that's why he did nothing with them. i for one, have been eating crow as i was one of his biggest bashers while with inter. but with milan, despite the fact he still makes those mindless giveaways, they're not as frequent. therefore, my insults are limited to the minimum. that's because he plays for a great team this year though obviously.

You don't get into the UEFA team of the year without being a world class palyer.
Its true, the Inter Seedorf and the Milan Seedorf seem like totally different players.
Seedorf didn't click with Recoba and Dalmat.
But it might have been a totally different story if Cuper had mixed him with Emre.
But why whine? Inter did the best possible thing - Coco was in fine form with Barca and with Italy too. I admit, I did think it was a great deal when it was done. A fine left-wing back for a player in pathetic form.
