A new study into refereeing errors this season has discovered that without mistakes Juventus would be top of the table.

Despite being historically linked with favouritism from officials, it emerges in the Ellere study that Juve would have more points than any other Serie A side.

The Bianconeri would be in front ahead of current ‘real’ leaders Inter, while Milan would be in sixth place an incredible nine points adrift.

Torino have lost nine points along the way through refereeing errors, while Roma, Reggina and Piacenza have been robbed of just four points.

Lady Luck has favoured Udinese, Modena and Atalanta when it comes to mistakes by the men in black

I find it to be beyond impossible that anyone could realistically think that this season Juve have had a harder time of it from refs than Roma.

nobody said they've been more hard done by than roma. what the article clearly states is that if it weren't for some bad decisions we'd be in first.

It's rather interesting that Milan would be 9 points adrift only for the refs. It's a bit of a coincidence.

Well then, that IS what it's saying, surely. Roma could probably say something similar.

But how could something like this even work? Would they take into account all debatable penalties and goals given against a team? Or would they try to look at ALL 50/50 decisions against teams, like throw ins and corners that lead to goals, or sendings off? Would they factor in debatable decisions given FOR a team and work out the difference per team? If that was the case, then this "article" might not lean so heavily in favour of Juve. Plus, a lot of debatable decisions come down directly to personal opinion. One person might see a blatant dive, another sees a clear foul.

well a couple of days ago i saw it on the RAI teletext and it claimed that it was based on offsides, non-existant foul calls and direct freekicks.

indirect instances such as throw-ins from way down the other end of the pitch obviously weren't taken into consideration because they're stupid frankly.

as for roma, they weren't mentioned because bad calls or not judging by their play they don't even deserve to be in a european position. which is why mentioning them would be flat out futile.

nevertheless, i'm not gonna go whine about something as subjective as this basically because in the end, it wont be inter finishing 1st after the 34th week it'll be juve. plus we have bigger fish to fry anyway rather than hang around grasping at straws like some sets of fans do more notably .... inter and roma.

Hehe, I like this "I'm not gonna while like you lot" thing you have going on, yet you felt the need to post this same topic on 3 different boards, AND complain about Batistuta's ban being revoked.

I have to say, you SUCK at not whining.

Let's hope so. I think you've moaned about it long enough.
