Is there any other team that will sing after their team has lost? I think us England supporters (no braggin :P) r the most loyal in the world. even after being 2-0 down against australia we were still singing. its our love for the game that brings this out. there isnt much better than going 2 c ur favourite team out in spirit playing for the country. thats wot i love bout supporting england. We are loyal supporters. through the ups and the downs we are there following our nation.

I heard that the players received heavy critisism after the match against Australia from the fans?
I even heard Beckham say he thought it was wrong of the england fans. Was this al lied?

the game i was wathcing half the fans got up and left after we went 3-1 down. can't blame them.
the Upton park crowd thought they were going to get to see a home team win and James keep a clean sheet
they booed England off the pitch
Becks was, rightly imo, very critical of these england 'fans'

I dont think that any team should be booed off by the fans.
England played two differant teams for gods sake.
These are the same fans that will be singing, "its coming home, footballs coming home" in a few years when england are winning a big game!!
Fickle to the end. every country has them, but I have never booed a team I support in any sport, no matter how bad they have played. I dont see how it helps them.
LIkewise the irish fans booing ireland after the Switzerland defeat. yeh, your not happy, but booing the team isnt helping them play better.
Beckham should know more than anybody how fickle fans are and how quick your country can turn on you. How many english fans can say that they stuck by him after the Argentina match in 98'?? Outside of united, i would say very few. Its not uncommon in football, just a sad, sorry state when it happens.
Again its not the players faults that the clubs put so much pressure on them not to play in friendlies. Apparantly becks and a few of the boys wanted to play the 2nd half despite the gaffers instructoins. To question his commitement is pathetic and again a sign o' the times that the rags have nothing better to write, especially with the lack of transfer activity.

I think if a team plays like crap the fans can boo them, but always with controll over themselves, not that it will result in riots and all that.
Also it always depends in how they play like crap. I mean if they all really try hard, I think they wouldn`t get booed, but if they all make a lazy impression anybody would boo their team.

I dont question whether ir not they shouold be allowed to boo. All I am saying is that I dont think that a team benefits from being booed. If they are not there to play for their country with honor then they shouldnt be in the team. Its up to the manager to take control of the situation and to motivate them.
I agree that fans can boo if they want, I just dont see any positive outcome of it. If a player plays bad because they dont try, surely they shouldn need the fans to tell them!!

I don`t think that is the purpose of booing a team. You want too show you expect moe than what you get, and if that is based by a lack odf effort I think as a fan you have a full right too do so.

Yes, but like you say, the manager and not the fans decide that, the fans form their own judgement asnd if that is expressed with just booing and racistic ror physical violence I can`t see what could be wrong with that.

I think those players do need too hear that from the fans, the people who came too the stadium especially for them. If you do it with respect for the person but with anger at a teams prestation or even of a single player, it is cool with me.
Positive outcome can be many things, people don`t hold up anger too realise it later perhaps on other people of phone boots, people get a bit of satisfaction of purchasing a ticket, the football player(s) in question could realise he needs too work on his workrate and the manager understands something is expected and could motivate their players more, as well as the logical direct boost in direction too the players, they will play better the next time, because they would feel more pressure on them, which is good. I could go on forever with this.

i was very dissapointed with half time score. i mean who wouldnt be. the rivalry is there but a team ranked 8th in the world shouldnt be losing 2-0 to a 50th ranked team no matter what. also the team spirit i think just wasnt there from the boys.
the fans expected to see a win and i dont blame them considering the way england are going in sport at the moment. we needed to get one up but we didnt and thats football i guess.i think the same that a booing off at half time puts the feeling into the players head that they have to come on and put on a display for the fans. its not to get them shirty.

Oh dont get me wrong. i know why Fans do it, they dont have any other way of showing their discontent. Other then just leave the ground, surely that would be a much more powerful statement. Quite protests can be most effective. Had england been lest playing in a near empty stadium they would of gotten the message, big time!!!

I`m pretty sure they received it now too, plus the fans got some fun out of their tickets. :)

i think anyone who starts forums in anger of another team are losers and are just jealous of that teams success. im writing in the regards of the forum about F***k england i think whoever started that is an absolute loser.
I don't think that the blame for England doing so crap can be laid on any 1 person, it's just the way that the Premiership is run.
The top clubs are playing 50+ games a season, therefore they want to rest their star players when it comes to "Unimportant" friendlies.
It seems to me that there has been some loos of value when it comes to playing for your country. Come on lads, you should be playing for the 3 Lions on your shirt, not for a quick couple of quid in your pocket!
As the old saying goes, don't hate the player, hate the game!

The number of Premiership games is a problem, Sven plays his full strength team to achieve a satisfactory result for fans, media and players alike and gets slated by Wenger,Ferguson and Houllier!! He experiments with youth and gets slated by everyone else.We were on a hiding to nothing anyway.
Don't know what the solution is but lets be realistic, we are not good enough to challenge for major honours.Granted we played the game as a friendly and the Aussies played a world cup final, but thats Aussie sports folk attitude..win...win...win...win....win!

english fans are anything but loyal- did they not boo the young players of the pitch after losing to the mighty Australia!!!
If anything, English fans are, like the media in the UK, idiotic!
If loyalty is measured in the amount of trouble caused, fights started and general loutish behaviour then English fans would no doubt be the most loyal!
'England' fans are a pretty wide ranging group
at Upton Park there where a lot of WestHam+England fans
pissed off at the poor form of their club side they were very dispointed when their NT played as badly.
as far as I know there was no fighting or trouble caused.
In japan our fans were as good as gold.
again prob a very different group of england fans.
loyalty isn't mentioned in loutish behaviour etc
it's measured by turning up and no matter where England play, no matter where the world cup is
England games are sold out and full of england fans
only the Dutch have anywhere near a similar level of loyalty

English fans are the best in the World. Look at our league attendences. It is the highest in the world. People go on about the "passion" Italians have for football. That is bollox. Look at any match in Serie A and the stadiums are always half empty. They only go when their winning.
in a few season Arsenal will have a 60,000 seater stadium which they will sell out every week
ManYoo and Newcastle already sell that many
manCity, liverpool n everton all have new expanded stadia in different stages of development
even 'smaller' clubs like s'oton, leicestr, sunderland and derby have new bigger stadia which they will def fill in the prem
in a few years the prem average attendance could be nearer 40k than 30k!
by a long way the best in europe
