I was wondering if there are any Blackburn fans here, or what do people here think about Blackburn ?

Hello, wolcome the WSB, i havent seen any Blackburn fans, looks like you're the first one :)
I dont really like Souness but i think Blackburn have a pretty good team and in truth they should be a bit higher although i know they've had injury problems but so do all teams.

I like Blackburn,big Liverpool connections.I'd like them even more if they gave us Duff and Dunn in the summer :D

Not a big Blacburn fan, other than when Friedel has an amzing game like this past weekend. Why? Because Rule does not really like him;) and Italianboy hates when American players are doing well.:evil:
On that note an excellent goal by McBride this weekend.

I think we have a good team, but as mentioned injuries have wrecked our season. Our back 4 are extremely dissapointing, and Dunn and Duff are always injured. Cole and Yorke had a bad start, but are improving. Two more of our strikers, Jansen and Sukur are also injured. But our real hero is Brad Friedel. I'm scared to think where we would be without him. He's saved us more times than I can count. Overall, I think if we have everyone fit and playing at their best we're worthy of a place in Europe, but this season I doubt we'll reach that far.
PS : hands off Dunn and Duff ! :D

I heard there's talk of Jansen going out on loan to a 1st div club.
He should be playing alongside Cole . Yorke just doesn't seem to be doing much

Agreed Yorke is past it. Although i think its too soon to give Jansen a regular spot.

Probably Liverpool I'd imagine.
But then again GH may want to stock up on more defensive midfielders as usual :D

That is pretty funny, but like Van Gaal, I don't think GH will be there at the end as the pool bad play will continue.

I didn't think he was still injured. I'm sure he's been playing reserve games. And I remember him starting and scoring against Villa in the Cup a couple weeks ago.
Jansen was the perfect foil for Cole last season and it seems Yorkie's 'telepathy' with Cole isn't working obviously

Yeah, if we don't get into the CL this season (obviously not), Duff will go in the summer. But I think we can keep Dunn.

I have noticed Italianboy has a strange bitterness toward American players (American soccer in general)...hmm...Oh well...

Funny. I sold Dunn (who has been shite ever since he left Ewood) and Jansen is more of my support striker (yeah, he scores quite frequently, and is a danger from free kicks).

Dunnie's in great form at the moment. Thx for the winning goals against Chelsea the other week. It puts a bigger gap between the Toon and Chelsea.
Or should I say Chelsea and ManUre. We're going to finish 2nd at the very least:D

Stig Inge Bjornebye has just quit football, due to injury. :( He was a good defender, he had atleast a few more years left in him.

David Thompson could be out with an injury 'till the end of the season ! This is a complete disaster, both for Rovers and England. What a shame ! :(

We played amazing in that game ! Tugay, Duff, Flitty, Berg, Short, Friedel were all great. Sukur looks impressive too. If only we can play like this against the weaker sides too. This season we've beaten Man.Un, Newcastle, Chelsea, did the double over Arsenal, and 2 draws with Liverpool. I think we can still hope for a place in Europe next season. :D :D

Tugay is possibly the most under-rated player in england I can't believe hes still at Blackburn - one of the big clubs should buy him!

umm....we ARE a big club. Not as big as Arsenal, but we do attract big names, such as Duff, Sukur, Cole & Yorke. Just because a player is good doesnt mean he should play for Man.Un or Arsenal. :rolleyes:

i heard a rumour that he was wanted by Arsenal.the disadvantage is his age.he transfered abroad lately.
i cant forget his game againts Arsenal last year inFA cup.

i seriously dont think we are a big club. we are no where near arsenal or manutd. they can spent like there's no tomorrow, whereas we have to sell out best players to buy in new players.
maybe we are the best town club in premiership...

Im a rovers fan too and i agree we are a decent team when we want to be and we can attract decent players like Cole, Emerton and Barry Ferguson but the problem is playing them all..
Id like to see a 3-5-2 formation played by souness with the following team:
GK Friedal
DC Neill
DC Amorouso
DC Taylor/Babbel
ML Reid
MR Emerton
MC Tugay (cpt)
MC Ferguson
AMC Thompson
FC Jansen
FC Cole
What ya think? i really dont like flitcroft, he cant play the one touch game like the others...
