It would be a dream come true to score owen hargreaves from bayern munich to the toon. hes the only player from my city (calgary alberta canada) to make it pro. and ive played against him....

Now let's say we play Kleberson, Dyer, Jenas and Viana, leaving Robert and Solano on the bench....who exactly is hargreaves going to replace?

News around london is that he's going to Arsenal anyway.

Actually shearergol imo your best mid would look like this.......

Viana-Dyer-Jenas-Robert.

Viana doing the Pires role.

And if kleberson does come over it's central midfield for him.He's only average out wide.

Can't see Viana playing on the right wing at all.

At the moment I'd shift Dyer onto the right with Speed and Jenas in the middle.

As for Kleberson, everything I've heard about him so far says that he's a quality defensive wide player.

As a wing-back he's good,but you are talking about playing him as a winger.

Dyer will sulk if he's played on the right.

Viana is awesome on the right of mid.

You seem to have seen all of these games which nobody else in the world has seen.

Please tell me exactly when Viana has played right midfield, and if he is so awesome, how come he wasn't used there earlier this season when Nobby was unavailable?

Syer won't sulk wide right, he's even stated this season that he likes playing there. (when the whole England issue came up)

Because Sir Bobby said he didn't want to just throw him into the first team.

Yes, Viana played centre midfield for Sporting (started as a left wing back for Sporting B). Believe it or not I've never heard anyone else mention him being a class right winger, oh well....time will tell.

If I remember correctly (and it's not the left wing debate) Dyer was interviewed just before the world cup about his favoured positions. They were saying that he could be used as a forward, he replied he prefers centre midfield or even on the right. To be honest can't see him sulking at all at the moment, since things are going so well for us.

When Viana signed for Newcastle, we went for him(Houllier of course ***ked up) and Houllier said that he wanted Viana to play in a right side role,the way Pires plays on the left for Arsenal,because he'd seen him play there a number of times.(i saw him play there against Porto last season and he was incredible).He then switched his attention to Bowyer and Sir Bobby stepped in and signed him saying he was excellent,in the centre, on the left and on the right.

But the difference is Pires is pretty good with his right foot as well and we thrive on Nobby's crosses (officially he's the best crosser in the EPL).

i think you mean Pires is pretty good with his left foot,he's got a great right foot.Viana's right foot is decent.Newcastle haven't got near the best out of him.

You know what I mean. Pires is more two footed than Viana. Maybe if Viana gets more experience on his natural positions first.
