It is a welcomed change. In the game they met Yao blocked oneal 3 times i think it is about time somebody taught that fat ass oneal a lesson. Just because he ways 300 puonds he considers himself the best in his position

Cool. I absolutely hate O' Neal. More than basketball even.

Very good to see a rival centre to O'Neal's dominance. Shaq's boring to watch, can't believe he became the superstar player of the NBA after MJ quit the second time. Not that Yao's that fun to watch, but at least he doesn't just throw his weight around.....

And at the very least, it shows Basketball fans still know quality when they see it and it hasn't become a "let's go for the most famous guy" thing yet.

Yeah so I hear...I saw the highlights...He is damn good. I actually ended up watching the AHL All-Star game though...I wish the NHL young stars game was on TV (maybe it was and I mssed it?)
I believe Barret Jackman was playing...He has a good shot at the Calder Trophy this year...great defenceman and one hell of a fighter at that.

He's dominant 'cause he's a fat piece of lard dammit! Wilt Chamberlain was dominant 'cause he had skill! Shaq isn't nearly as skilled as most of the other great centres!

Yes he is dominant but for alll the wrong reasons. He relys only on his size, to push his way to the basket other than that he has no other way of scoring. But with other real greats like wilt as looney said or more recently Hakeem Olijuwan they could use their body or could use speed and skill to score. Shaq is one sided when a true dominant player needs to be three dimensional. With some weight lifting Yao Ming shows signs of being a 3 dimensional player and effectively a possible great.
