One thing i was always annoyed for is this huge hype surrounding English Football(don't tell it's the same for Barça).I'm bored of the press(sites, papers,Tv's etc)in all the world giving such a huge attention to what's going on in England.

I'm not talking about the EPL but also about Worthington Cup(ok it's Man U-Liverpool the final we're thrilled),English Cup(respect),Charity shield and everything.I know you got huge history in the sport but all this hype makes me want to throw-up.And why do fans outside England support sides like Hotspurs,Leeds, etc(i would accept it only for Man U,Liverpool and perhaps Arsenal the last years)?Nobody outside Spain or Italy cheer for Torino,Peruggia or Sociedad i think.

Just wanted to say it.

Didn't know English football had such a big following abroad. I can see how you would get pissed off with it. I know I probably would.

P.s. There's nothing wrong with supporting Leeds!

Could have something to do with the fact that the modern game originated in Britain. As the British travelled around the world at the end of the 19th centuary (they did that alot), they introduced the game throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Don't forget it was an Englishman who was at the begining of Real Madrid, I think also A big Italian team Maybe Inter or AC was started by an Englishman. This meant that while Spanish, Italian, French teams etc were only just begining, in England the teams were already established so people heard of these English teams first.
Also the links between Britain and Australia, NZ, USA, Canada, India etc are very strong because of the british empire. Even in The 20th centuary many many people left britain to go to these countries, and therefore the love of there British team went with them.
I'm not sure but i bet many South Americans have a spanish or Portuguese team which they follow, for roughly the same reason.

Cheerz Maybe just Greek footballs not up to scratch. Whats the matter are you jealous? What hype is this then? The press will only print what people are interested in. If that happens to be the Premiership, then you will have to put up with it.
