German giants Bayern Munich have announced today that they'll extend Thomas Linke's contract by another year.
The German international had a clause in his contract that he would earn a one-year extension if he reached 25 appearances during the season.
However, the future of other players such as Jeremies,
Lizarazu, Tanat and Fink, who have contracts that expire this summer is not clear.
It is said that Bayern want to keep Jeremies and Lizarzau, while Tarnat and Fink can leave Munich.

Claudio Pizarro and Niko Kovac have provided for unrest in Bayern Munich's winter training camp in Marbella by threatening to quit the club if they don't get more playing time.
"Since I haven't been playing much I've had a lot of time to think and I've come to the conclusion that I'm too good to spend four years of my career sitting on the stands," remarked the older of the Kovac brothers, who is contracted to the record-German champions until 2005.
Pizarro, who also has two-and-a-half years to go in his contract, was even more frank in his lamentations. "If I don't see much action during the second-half of the season, then I will have to look into playing for another club," said the big Peruvian striker, before taking a swipe at Hitzfeld's tactics.
"Bayern play a very defensive game and that does not fit into my philosophy of football," added the former Werder Bremen goal-getter. "I was raised on attacking football and it is hard for me to change my mentality."

Bayern Munich's winter-base in Marbella, Spain has been brimming with activity in recent days. Ottmar Hitzfeld has reacted to Claudio Pizarro's critique and quit-threat by slapping him with a fine; Thomas Linke agreed to extend his contact with the club; and Sebastian Deisler is finally making big strides following his near-season-ending knee injury.
Hitzfeld refused to reveal the amount of the fine that he imposed on his unsettled Peruvian striker, who stated in a recent interview that he would actively begin looking for a new club if doesn't begin to see more playing time and also branded Bayern's tactic's as overly-defensive. The former Borussia Dortmund coach did, however, comment on why he felt it necessary to discipline Pizarro.
"I will not permit for any player to criticize the way the team is run in public," said Hitzfeld. "If anyone has a problem they should come and see me. Whining to the press suggests a lack of communion and solidarity."
Good news arrived in the form of veteran defender Linke's decision to extend his summer-expiring contract to 2004, though the futures of Jeremies and Lizarazu remains uncertain.
Another positive is that former Hertha Berlin golden-boy Sebastian Deisler – who has yet to feature from Bayern - is well on the road to recovery following his horror knee injury and could even see a couple of minutes of PT in a friendly within the coming weeks.
"I am pleasantly surprised that Deisler has been able to participate in so many training exercises," beamed Hitzfeld. "Now it is time for him to get a feel for things and to rid himself from a natural fear of the tackle. He still has quite a ways to go, however."
