Van Bommel is good, but lately not that special, he needs a new challenge.
Chivu is a great defender and good in building up an attack, but still makes mistakes now and again. He plays like a routined defender, but can`t hide some inexperienced mistakes.
His mentality is exceptional and his gutty style is also greatly appreciated ofcourse. :) He is a great captain as well.

Best non-Ajax player? I'd have to say Van Bommel.
1.- Chivu
2.- Van der Vaart
3.- Robben
4.- Van Persie
it's a shame that 3 of the best dutch players of the leagueplay on the same position. (Robin, Arjen and Rafael), There must be a way to make them play in 3 diferent positions in the National Team (in a few years).

Robben can play as a winger on the left, VDV can play as a left central midfielder and Van Persie could warm the bench  or play as a right winger. I mean, most weingers can play on both sides, only different, he has too learn how too cuyt the ball back on the back line and swing it in the box, very hard too defense, but I think either Robben or Van Persie will warm the bench, or one should play as a striker, I go for Robben on that one, Van Persie can be usefull on midfield too.
But you are right, never thought about it like that. I`m sure two of three we can field, and having a that good back up player also is a good thing, since especially VDV is injury sensitive.
Welcome BTW. :)
thanks soccer fanatic.
It's a shame if we ( Dick and Wim) let one of these players on the bench, they are the future of Holland. I am a Ajax fan but i have to admit that Van persie is a very good player, I enjoy watching him play. With Feyenoord he play's behind Van Hooijdonk, maybe he kan play there, Robben should be te left Winger and VDV on midfield, near Van Bommel. I hope that they don't use one of this players like Zenden, he played as Left Back.

Unfortunately I must agree, Van Persie is indseed doing great recently after a false start. I`m not a fan off him but am glad too see he changed his arrogant attitude for a more modest one. I mean, he can be proud on what he can do on the field, but he carried it all a bit too far, recently Van Persie is doing miracles, although I think Robben is doing even better, but Van Persie is more hyped by the press. Robben is not just in great form, he lifted up his general level of play after a bad start and is growing fast now. Which is all good for Dutch football, I`m curious though if for example Kuijt and Janssen will live up too their potential, for players like Stekelenburg, VDV, Robben and Van Persie I have no doubts, but especially Theo Janssen is ruining his talent the last two years, a real waste.
Probably because they aren`t used too see a talent in a Feyenoord shirt. :)

I think that Dirk Kuijt is also a great player, en besides him, Richard Witsche(although old), Ronald Waterreus and Theo Janssen are also great, Janssen has a bad season, but he will be great one day.

Dirk Kuijt will move too Feyenoord, you heard?
Waterreus in in all honesty not a man I like.
Janssen is great but living up too his potentisal at all, he should have been on a higher level by now.
What Martin Verkerk has with tennis, Theo Janssen has with football. He missed progress in key years of his development. He won`t reach the absolute top of his talent anymore, although I don`t doubt he will become a great player.

That is key isn`t it? I know wingers are known for inconsistency but he is really awfull, his balance good-bad matches are IMO too much unbalanced in the direction of band matches, he definetly has the talent too become a great player but being a great player is also partly being able too play consistent on a high level, Van der Meyde can`t do that yet.
