I think when ***sic is on his game, he is phenomenal, but I think the injury he suffered before the last world cup was just too much for him to fully recover. He's shown flashes of his one remarkable abilities, but seems inconsistent. Despite what the managers may think, I still wouldn't rank him ahead of Suker. Suker is a natural born goalscorer while ***sic is more of a hard worker. ***sic really earns his goals and plays hard (which lead to his numerous injuries) but Suker doesn't always have to try so hard and he still scores beautiful goals.

Interesting news: The only reason that ***sic was left out of the starting lineup on Sunday was because he has been suspended from the first team! Thr reason for the suspention is nothing more but his complaints that the jersey is too tight and he can't put it on. Ericcson didn't like it one bit and he just simply excluded ***sic from the team! Besides that, it's possible that ***sic will earn a fine too!! And so he should!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

***sic was out of line for what he did. I think selling him is a bit drastic though. He hasn't been playing much lately, so I think the frustration got to him.

About Mijatovic, he is a great player, but hasn't accomplished too much other than scoring the winning goal in the CL final. That is a great accomplishment, but when you say he has accomplished more than any Croatian player that is simply not true.

Suker has won two golden boots, one at the WC and one at the youth championship for Yugoslavia in 87'.

Suker has been in the running for player of the year more times that Mijatovic, and he is the leading scorer in Real's storied history. I think he has something like 110 goals in 220 games.

Suker has also scored more for his NT than Mijatovic. His strike rate is as good as anybody else playing today nevermind just Mijatovic.

And a little known fact is that Suker holds the record for most goals scored in European Championship play. I think he has 18, which is more than the likes of Beckenbauer and Cruyff.

Don't take this the wrong way, Mijatovic is a great player and great to watch, but he's no Suker.

The possible excuses are endless, but at the same time pointless. One bad round of qualifying or should I say one unlucky game (vs. Macedonia) will not tarnish our reputation as the Brazil of Europe.
I know that you don't like Croats because of the heavy beatings we administered on you every time you started a fight, but if we're going to talk soccer, lets atleast be realistic. Is there even one Serbian player that would be a starter on Croatia's team, that's right, no chance.

Take a look at Kovacevic, the guy has scored 20 goals for Juve this season, most of the time of the bench. Just yesterday he gave Juve the scudetto with two beautiful goals.

And Milosevic, he's in a bit of a slump recently but is still one of the top goal-scorers in Spain.

Stankovic is undoubtebly one of the best young talants in the world to day, just take a look at some of the goals he's scored for Lazio :).

While our players are some of the best in Europe, your players play in second Divisions of spain. Suker is a reject at Arsenal, ***sic for sure wont be back in a Lazio uniform next year, and Boban is just too ***king old

It is already quite clear that you've studied soccer only on T.V. - Mijatovic and Kovacevic could definitely sub Suker or ***sic, but never replace. The Croatian national team has about 5-6 other players that could also do that.
As for "sloppy defense", I sense you're trying to be sarcastic.........Stimac, Soldo, Bilic, Simic, Tudor, Jarni (on special occasions), and another 4-5 guys that would be starters on your team.....(Do I have to name names?) Defense is clearly the weakest link for Yugo, along with your goalie (who I heard is Croatian - is this true?)
While I'm at it, let's look at the middle, clearly the best part of your team, but still in a leaugue well below Boban, Asanovic, Prosinecki, Stanic, Jarni (on regular occasions). Hrvatska is a team that beats anyone, Big teams wish to draw Yugoslavia in a later stages.

Ivica Kralj is serbian , just like Prosinecki croatian. Prosinecki is half serbian half croatian, but he is more of an ustasha. Back to soccer, you are overrating Croatia by 100%. That team you talk about right there is an allstar team, how can you even say that about a team that was THIRD in their GROUP for Euro2000 qualifying ? HEHEHEHEHE GEEZ! Croatia is one of the best in Europe, i do agree on that, and i am being realistic here, just like Yugoslavia is one of the best in Europe, if not among the 3 best countries. My point is just that your hate of SERBS overcomes all the reality in soccer and that is just sad to see, TRULY SAD!

P.S. - Kovacevic is playing great, I am impressed. If he wins a golden boot twice, becomes all-time scorer for a team like Real, leads all-time Champions League scoring, and scores close to a goal a game for his national side........he will be like Suker. Very unlikely, but you never know. ;)

P.S. I do feel complimented when you call me Ustasa, but this word does cause allergic reactions to some serbs, maybe some people here won't like it.

I am truly sorry for all those people who have posted in this TOPIC, but this topic once again had to be closed due to the political agressions by Vatreni. I would like to ask Vatreni to leave this forum since he hates serbs so much and to join the croatian forum and post messages over there. If Vatreni can act like a HUMAN once in his life i would be very thank ful.
